They were both agro and seemed to pop while I was harvesting. Luckily most of the group was still in the zone, so we took them down with ease. (Yellow con ^^^ if I recall correctly).

But yes, you can still get the updates, even if it's a case of mezzing them.

Thinking about it, the instruments didn't pop straight away for me, so I ran about the zone and back into the last chamber. Maybe that's why the popped.

Actually, I think it may only spawn them when you harvest the incorrect one.

There were 4 in the room (all 4 corners), they spawned on both left ones as soon as I was done harvesting them, then I harvested the back right one, and got the update, w/ no spawns. Never had to harvest the front right one.

I agree with this. I didn't know what was going on and kept harvesting the wrong one. I think we killed 4 heroics before I picked the right one.

I have no idea, I guess its just our collection of ideas we have here. I didn't enter myself or this thread in that stupid contest. It was just put up there as the only troubador walk-through i guess.

yeah i think LFG just grabbed names based off of a thread title. besides our 'walkthrough' is spread over 3 forums (eq2.wiki, eq2flames and official soe forums)

i used the wiki one up to the epic (raid) part. then i just scrolled through this thread 'til i found what i needed.

Question:
So i examined my chimes in my inventory, but not at my house vault..so...the epic NPC is not in Barren sky...is the epic not available now? do i have to do Ayonic Journey all over again?

I don't know Zexus, but I would suggest perhaps you place the chimes in your house anyway, then examine the chimes in your house, then head out to Barren Sky to see if the NPC is up.
