It does, since Harmonizations also affects JC. Pinski's post is still accurate because if you try to cast JC first, then PoTM, the .5 sec recovery time and 2 sec casting time will make PoTM cast when JC is around 30 sec which won't allow that combo to work.
Also, I think using rt macro's for JC is a disaster waiting to happen. I very rarely use my rt macro, only when an app or someone that never asks for it asks, and usually what happens during the time leading up to the next pull or while I'm waiting for a cooldown on JC, someone else sends me a tell for whatever reason and now I'm fucked.
I also don't like the Profit raidwindow for JC because you'll definately lose DPS using it. I still think the best way is the old school way of having a bunch of macros on your hotbars of people you commonly use it on.

This is how i use it also. I have an entire hot bar of macro's of the people i commonly use it on and one blank one that is just using it and a tell letting them know they have it. Profit doesn't send them a tell letting them know you gave it to them which i find people want the most so thye know to start dropping their long recast stuff.

Re: T8 JCap
Why would you lose DPS using the very same macro as part of ProfitUI?
Plus, you can easily edit in the tell to the person.

Re: T8 JCap
Because you got to drag your mouse over to the window and find the person in the window. If you can do this in under 1 second, grats, but I doubt you can.

Re: T8 JCap
I have started to get annoyed by JC. Even with the macro possibilities and UI adds, there's just no way to use it that doesnt distract me from what else I'm supposed to be doing.
Like others said, having a hotbar of macros for your usual targets might be the best way. But then different people log on at nights, or people leave/join the guild, or mainswap or whatever, and I have to keep re-editing the macros, and relearn which button is who. It's just a nuisance.
Also, you kind of have to keep a "Jcap clock" going in your head all the time, to know who is immune and who is up next. Which makes me further distracted and annoyed. Maybe I'm just a poor multitasker.
My solution to this would be using a single macro with 5 names or so. Then just hit it everytime its up. No need to remember who is immune or who is up next, just hit it and Jcap lands on someone. But since you cant attach a /tell to it, people get grumpy. And I get even more annoyed.
Add the fact that it takes a whole second to cast, cant be cast on the move, and the shaman "RoA" is actually better than Jcap IMO. It's starting to make me not like my troub. Am I the only one?

The problem is your jcap rotation should be plotted out to max dps. Your brigand and assassin will need jcap at the right times (when their short timers are up), your wiz will need jcap when VG is available and you will need to jcap yourself before potm runs out.
Random jcap is a waste of potential dps. You need to establish a pattern and be very deliberate about who your casting jcap on and when. I expect you have 2 troubs, you need to be a team also.
Jcap is massively more useful and valuable than you seem to understand.

Re: T8 JCap
I have one JC macro hotbar. I set it up like this....
1 open Jester's cap, /tell %t jestercap
2 Myself
3 first dps priority, tell that person macro
4 second dps priority, tell that person macro
5 third dps priority, tell that person macro (these 3 usually all in my group)
6 Mt defiler, tell that person macro
7 Mt templar, tell that person macro
8 MT warden, tell that person macro
9 MT, tell that person macro
0 Random dps person to fill gaps, tell that person macro
Last 2 spots in that bar are counter song and shroud. I have a bunch of spares in my macro book and i sub them in and out as raid make up or encounter calls for changes. I don't have to memorize who is who because i just memorize a priority of who to give it to. I rotate myself and the first 3 dps for my standard rotation. I keep the open one at the front for when i get the occasional odd person tell for it. Works great for me, try it out.

Re: T8 JCap
it really depends on your raidforce. for me since we heavy DPS anyways, i usually JC the MT on the pull, or just after to help with taunting and aggro. then go through thurgough debuffing, then POTM and JC myself, catch a caster for the tail end of POTM if I'm good and then again depends on what we doing. latly the targets have been told for me.
totally for the /rt maccro. no one should be sending you tells during a fight anyways unless they need the cap. ideally everyone would know ahead of time whos gonna need what when, but somtimes shit happens. and the maccro helps then.
