Default Tour for the Newb

Good Morning!

I've been gaming for about six years: started out with an enchanter in the original EQ, but quit after GoD came out and switched to a Priest on WoW. Over time that's also lost its appeal for me. I tried EQ2 and am having a blast... the Troub is what I have most fun with and have decided to make her my main (she's only level 16).

However, I've had no exposure to the melee aspect in the past so I'd like to take my time leveling up and learning the ropes of being a Troub. I've been reading up on the main Sony forum and here on dynamics and theorycraft but haven't seen anything about recommended practical experience. IMO the best way to learn is by doing.

What I'm asking is this: where are some good places in game that would be beneficial for me to learn at/from as I level up (for both solo and group)? What are some "must have" experiences? ((Does that make any sense?))

Hmm not sure you are making sense no. :p

All places and all content is the same, as far as "experiencing" melee combat goes. The way to learn IS reading forums, with a little analyzing of your parses and testing different stuff thrown in. Thats about it I'm afraid.

Yes I guess the BEST way of learning in eq2 is reading flames (forget the official bann board ^^) - still - you will learn enough about your class for nice group play as you level into the late 70s.., reaching 80 will make you highly desireable for raids (you will get tells every night when you hit 78 ^^) - from then on, reading boards is what makes you more than a buffbot. Thos guys here around are awsome and advices here are about any aspect of the troub u need to know.
