Got my epic last week and started watching my parse teeter off and in some cases even go down. Hard to notice in raid or grp but I have noticed that my original casting order does not take advantage of the Spell crit my epic gives me especially when solo.

Solo: I wont be debuffing off the bat I usually start with my bigger nukes cycle into a stun then CA's, snare and debuff while kiting. Proc usually goes off midway into CA's when all my big spells are down .

Granted, I don't solo too much and really want to focus more on my raiding parses since they seem to have went backwards.
It's not clear to me anymore which aa lines we should be taking and Im currently working on my last 18% for 140. Then Ill play with my aa's yet again.

So I guess my question is when raiding with the new epic/mythical are you guys changing your casting order to maximize your dps? Are you waiting for the proc to fire before letting off your spells? How many of the higher end dps troubs joust to include your bow shots in your cycle?

As it stands now I need to work on my spells even landing... my melle hits way more than my spells and that just should not be but I think a readjustment of my aa lines will help with that greatly. And are we running Song of Magic (Dove song) now?

The best DPS AA spec is the one that's been posted a bunch around here that includes 4-1 in INT and 4 4 4 8 in AGI for KOS and Harmonizations, Sonics, and Inspirations for EOF. If you're already specc'd that, don't bother to change because it won't help your DPS.

No, pretty much everything's the same.

Do not do this. You'll wind up casting your high DPS nukes less for only a 15% increase to do about 30% more damage, which will result in an approx 4.5% gain in spell damage while the buff is up. This 4.5% gain is not enough to offset the increase in reuse from not using your spells when the buff is not active which will result in a loss of DPS. Also given how it is impossible to see the buff in your spell effects window, it makes tracking the buff impossible.

Since arrow mechanics are still broken DO NOT do this. Your melee autoattack is hitting for far more DPS than your ranged attack due to weapon upgrades without bow upgrades. Also consider the fact that you probably have a lot more melee crits than ranged crits and more melee double attack than ranged double attack.

Are you sure you're even talking about raiding? You should never be below 98% of your spells landing in a raid, making Dove Song useless.

kk just got my last aa point, gonna respec as you stated and give it a try....again. As far as spells landing it's kind of hard to me to judge if it has gotten better or worse since t7, all I know is my parse went down in t7 raid zones. I frap so I usually don't have any combat bubbles going nor do I decipher the mess in the combat chat log. What I do know is 50% of my damage is coming from melle which leads me to believe I'm not landing as many spells as I should be. But then agian Im a ditz when it comes to game mechanics...I should be a little higher than what I am currently for sure. Once we do another T8 zone Ill show my parse pie and maybe one of you can help a sister out in figuring out what my problem is.-

Ill get rid of the whole 3 points I wasted in the health regen next time I respec, but either there or in charm/mezz it's still a waste. And just to clarify I never run Dove Song I was asking if we were since I noticed a change in spell damage recently.

That wasn't the question and thats is obvious, I was wondering if anyone was changing their casting order for the proc since the proc is only 10.5 secs long and getting in our 3 biggest spells would eat up most of that. You would'nt want your epic proccing off of Reverberating Shrill or Painful Lamentations since their recast is so long. Unfortunately those spells are in the start of my casting order when soloing. I'll see how often I get the benefit in my casting order as it stands now in the next t8 raid with my aa changes

It's less of a waste in the mez, because if you go for Harmonization you need 20 points in that line. Might as well invest in the mez, to get to JCap that way, effectively making these wasted points doubly useful (did that still make sense now?).
