There's 2 spells on the Necro where JCap offers more than a minor benefit. Capping a Necro every time he's not immune is a waste, there's other classes with big hits that gain a lot more from it.

my own personal perspective, rarely am I casting JCap every single time the spell is refreshed. Im doing dps, spamming CAs and spells, refreshing debuffs and the like. When I have cross raid requests from tanks, maybe a coercer for thoughtsnap or some healers who need love then I spring into action, which would be greatly impaired in terms of timing if I simply rotated the cap between dps classes that could use them.

Unless Im in a grp with a scout, they are rarely getting capped even brigs.

This is in contrast to my other guild trouby who does have a set Jcap rotation usually favoring sorcerers/scout dps, which is fine some of the time but when someone else does really need a snap jcap they are SOL.

I usually cycle through my group when there is no one outside of the group needing it (like the MT). I jcap myself before PotM, and then the wizard if it's a single encounter or the warlock if it's a group. (The second jcap will go off before PotM runs out). Also if the fury in my group is doing a lot of DPS I include them in my jcap cycle.

I also don't go out of my way to jcap mages or scouts who have really low DPS. (when it's because of treasured gear, low level, or non-upgraded spells... or just general suckage beyond my ability to help them).

I usually don't jcap a mage at the start of battle because they almost always end up pulling aggro when I do that. If my PtoM is down then I cast jcap on a scout at the beginning of the battle. Swashies are good to jcap right at the pull especially when they are providing aggro to the MT.

then there are 3 instances when my necro could def. benefit from a jcap: LB, Undead Tide and Dark Envy (5 min recast).

You just wasted a cap on yourself, because (unless you don't have the PotM AAs) it will run out after your JCap.
Since the recast timer of PotM starts when it expires, and you no longer have JCap then, you need to cap yourself after PotM.

Holy shit! I just tested it out and sure enough my PotM timer went from 1 min back to 1 min 30s once my jcap wore off. All those wasted jcaps. I've been doing it that way forever.
