depend of buff if you have full mage group and have all nice buffs from ilu fury wiz and lock only for self is parsing high easy but if steal this buffs some crapy scout or crusader and you stay only with group buffs its this some work much harder

Parsing good pretty much amounts to how often Dispatch is up these days. If we have 2 or 3 Brigs in raid I am going to have good numbers all night, if there's only 1 then we are in for a long haul.

I agree that the right group setup can do much, but it's not always needed.
This is a parse from 1 encounter on our latest SoH raid, we had a 3 troubs in that raid, so I did not get in the usual "mage" group.
My group was:
Me , Dirge (I know, we benefit a lot from em), Brigand, Ranger, Mystic and SK
Not the best setup, but since it was "just" SoH it was not a problem.

4172 was my overall dps on trash on this raid, so it would not have ment much of I had taken another encounter..
it went from 4k to 5.1k on the best with this group.

Oh yea, I think we did have 2 Briggy's in that raid, but not 100 % sure.

Unless Ice Lash and Strike of Faith have been made raidwide recently, you also had a Wizard and an Inquis in your group?

I've gotten as high as 5.8k on SoH trash, so its sure is doable, even when you are spamming you Jcap as often as possible.
Sure would be nice if you told me how you do it instead of flaming me.

Don't worry about the numbers as they are going to vary wildly depending on what your guild raids. If you are not going after Avatars then don't expect to constantly be putting up 4-6k because it just isn't going to happen.

Maximize your AA's. Work out a casting order. Try to drop some damage on the MOB on pull and engage as early as possible as this affects Ext DPS which is what is normall parsed and posted. Create macro's for all of the high DPS classes and then drag the people you are responsible for to a hot bar for easy JC's so you are not hunting for them in your raid window.

And finally have fun.....that is the most important part of any game.
