Uhm, it works on very few mobs in Palace, it doesn't work on any mob in Ykesha's, it doesn't work on any mobs that I can think of in Tomb either. So uhhhm yah it's useless.

Palace - xythus brothers, switchmaster, Tythus,Mynzak, AS?
Tomb - naga and Xebnok+tormentors,
Yis - trash, some adds in named encounters, more testing needed.

Yea very good reasons to give it 5 points right there imo..

But the thing is, I don't have AA's enough to spend 5 in Sinister and 5 in the defense (Even if I had 200 AA's I would miss the last 5)

So what to do ?

Starting Scout line in Shadows AA. Any suggestions? Seems people are big into the increased def mit one. I don't have anything which removes the concentration cost of songs so does it make sense to still use it? Also, does the increase to offensive based songs do anything. I initially picked it and didn't see it affect anything. Thanks.

Affects Song of Magic iirc and thats it, so.....don't waste AA's there.

I run Turnstrike vs Rythm Blade, if it affects RB please correct me.

Hey !


As of late my guild has just cleared VP and we're preparing to roll onto Trak and Maestro and whatnot, just so you know at what point of raiding Im at. In group I got : Inquis, Brig (who gives Thieves Guild), Illu (who gives me Tandem), Ranger, and Warlock, all with mythicals.

My bard-line is same as posted by most in here, ending with 4INT-1Rythm Blade, and Troubline I got Harmonisation-line, Sonics-line, both wards, pwr-regen and Jcap specced to 5pts.

Next weekend I'll pickup my mythical too, and since I am currently struggling with making more than 1,5-2k dps in the parse, I am wondering if there are buffs I am missing or if I just plainly suck :P

My weapons are Epic Ayonic Axe and Carotidcutter, ranged Vexthorne. I also got 2piece VP set so de-hate song runs cost-free.

Anyone got any suggestions as to how I can get more dps out of my troub ?

Ramiel, it's plain to see you stink...ha ha jk. I have no idea! I just wanted to flick you some schnizz. Good luck with Maestro because he's a tough one! See ya 'round! Oh yeah, you might get lucky and have Marrow's Song drop for you!! It's awesome because it increases reuse speed of group by 5 when you run Aria of Magic.

Oyce, what is Rythm Blade and Turnstrike? Never heard of them.
Also, what buff would I have to run if I wanted the add'l def. mit from Strengthened Links in the Scout line? Performer Avoidance? If so, I usually run Allegretto so I won't have the increased attack speed if I run Performer Avoidance.
I'm starting to think the Scout line for Shadows is useless except for the last skill, Evasive Maneuvers.

Just so everyone knows the Offensive Prowess only affects Song of Magic and Strengthenend Links only affects Performer Avoidance.
At Ad 3, Song of Magic, has disruption, subjugation, etc., increased by 30 and focus increased by 61. With 1 point in Offensive Prowess it is increased to 32 and 64 respectively.
With 1 point spent in Strengthened Links, 153 physical mitigation was added to Performer Avoidance.

Bard AA Lines Str and Int. Turnstrike is a short term AE avoidance + damage and Rhythm blade is an Offensive sills / stance-buff.

Performer Avoidance.

VP 2 set bonus allows you to run Alins' without using a concentration slot. Thus allowing you to run an extra buff.

Yep, Scout line is pretty weak for Bards. Strenghtened Links, Quickstrike are the two obvious choices for Raiding Troubs with alot of mages in their group. Some Troubs prefering Sinister Strike over Strenghtened Links at least till they get enough AA's for all three.

I doubt seriously you need a de-agro as a bard. Its not like you're spiking 10k nukes. I play a Ratonga and if Baffle / move doesnt work in a pug then racial deagro usually does. When raiding if I get agro it isn't likely that I'll be up long enough to cast a de-agro. I don't see a need for a third de-agro.
