Default Re: Troubador AA thread

I "cheated" into UT when I had 173 AA (dunno why some call that cheat, though), and doing so I left the bard tree intact and stole shamelessly from the troub tree, because the most crap can be found there. Harmonization gone, BAM, 21 more point. Some others reduced to 3, more points. I left only wards, JCap, PotM and Aria fully intact as the most essential stuff. Later I got Harmonization back with my 191st point.

Harmonization > wards, if your healer can't heal through that little amount extra every so often then you need new healers.

May be, but I wanted to get to the TSO endline, which is a huge boost and outweighs the temporary loss of Harmonization. Think only +5% more crit chance put into DKTM, +15% casting and recover speed into JCap, not to talk about UT.

So I needed quite some points, and when you have only 173aa as I had when I respecced, something has to be sacrificed, since just getting rid of the wards doesn't cut it. So, getting rid of JCap enhancement? Not an option. PotM enhancement? Not an option. DKTM? Not an option, especially since it gets a boost in the TSO endline. Rhythm blade? My only reliable skill boost with all the orange mobs? Please no. Same goes for turnstrike.

In the end of the day I decided, that losing Harmonization and cutting back some points in the Troubador tree hurts the least. I put all I got afterwards back into Harmonization and got it back with 191 points just a few weeks later.

Default What's Better?

Which one is better? Strenghtened Links or Offensive Prowess?

I think this was already covered in this thread, but for troubs the consensus seems to be Strengthened Links. 767 mitigation is pretty good for casters who don't have a lot to start with.

Default Troubadour AA Spec (including Shadow Tree)

Before the flames burn high.

I did in fact read the text that most consider posting and it is lacking.
If you flame me for asking in the name of something of substance is already there, then you are the poster child for newbs.

Very simple request is for a raiding Troub to post his three trees aa spec for a complete 200 aaexp spent.

If there is some debate on a few of them so be it but I would like to poll what other troubs are specing.

I have this so far as i understand it. (from others posts)

1 Bard's luck
agi - 4-4-4-8 maxing poison proc
sta - 4-4-4-8 maxing group double attack
wis - 4-4-6-8-2 maxing allegro, 2 extr points in selo's to get the end line dktm
int 4-1 getting a point into rhythm blade to make up for a lack of offensive stance. (alternatively str 4-1 blade dance personal immunity)

Troubadour line
5 reverberating shrill
5 painful laminations
5 Thunderous overture
5 Perfection of the maestro
1 sonic interference

5 cheap shot
5 sonnet
5 stifling missile
5 Peaceful melody
1 harmonization

3 power ballad
5 aria of magic
5 arcane tempo
5 elemental tempo
5 jester's cap (from peaceful melody)
1 resonance

4 spell rebuff-

TSO lines for raiding:
General Tree: 5 p increase power and 5 p increase health. Probably doesnt matter though what you take in general tree.
Scout Tree: 5 pstrenghtenen link, 5 p quick strike and the evasive maneuver.
Bard Tree: 5 p Shriek, 5 p flanking, 5 p intoxicating notes and dextorous sonata.
Troubador Tree: 5 p Harbinger chorus, 4 p Master of ceremonies or Demoralizing chorus, 5 p night strike, 5 p Court Jester and UT and Lyrical Mastery.

Maybe this thread can replace the thread already sticky'd
