On the troubador AA side, I find I really like the bellow upgrade over the arrow stiffle. Neither are incredibly useful, but I find that I don't use arrow CAs very much as opposed to using bellow which I tend to fire off every time it is up for procs and stuns.

Just to clarify...It's Roundshields that are used in the Sta line, not bucklers.

For soloing:

Starter: 1
Agi: 4-4-8
Sta: 4-4-8-8
Wis: 4-4-6-8-2
Int: 4-1
= 70.

- Poison = no mez, and mez = needed more often than not, specially on tough mobs (Skyfire's 1-ups and the odd name or 3-up stunt). I already tried it out, I'm not slow at clicking, and respecced faster than you can say wtf.

- Mobs in kunark hit like a freight train. So I grabbed a round shield, the lvl 72 MC does just great, awesome stats and 780ish protection. Not even the lvl 77 MC, in its diff versions, beats having +35/45 agi AND sta at the same time.

- Said roundshield also allows the usage of the AA shield stun, very useful.

- Maxed parry and block for the best AA-acquired avoidance (bar sheer AGI). I got around 60% avoidance with some +defense/parry jewelry and stuff.

- Soloing in this way has been extremely efficient for me, meaning fast kills with little to no downtime. After all, if chaining CA's and Spells, I hardly ever get to autoattack, meaning no real need to dual wield. And even then, with the Shield AA maxed out and the odd +DA% item, my DA% when soloing is around 58% or so.

- Mind you, the only fabled gear I got are the band of thuuga and the VoES quested necklace (+25 to all stats, 150hp/mana, etc). I'm also not using any adornments whatsoever yet.

Grouping and Raiding:
- What everyone else posted above.

(Note: Was going to edit, but didn't know about the 15min timer :p)

BONUS TRACK: Soloing a tough mob with the above mentioned config.

- With this I mean, for instance, those 1-ups in Skyfire the dwarf asks you to kill tons of. For 3-ups I explain what I do at the bottom of the list.

- I don't use the Aria. I mean the song that procs a nuke on hostile spells. I use instead: +In Combat HP Regen, +Attack Speed, +Defense, Song of Magic (you want your mez to land), +STR/STA.

1 - Pull, when mob's arriving, mez. Reposition yourself beside or behind the mob.

2 - Apply the 5 debuffs, the 2 red ones: Snare/Mental & Defense, and the 3 green ones: Discante, Processional, Rebuff. They cast very fast. Don't use the -Wis DoT. Also cast PotM and Jester Cap if up and able.

3 - Cheap shot, bump, sneak attack, backstab, rhythm blade, shield bash, unleash the rest of the CA's and Spells. Cheap Shot first so you can land your position-depending CA's right after the mez broke.

4 - Loot.

- Should take around 30 secs or so. You'll find yourself with health and power enough to pull another mob right away. Other strats might yield a faster kill, but a higher downtime as well.

When pulling a 3-up stunt, on step 3 I go instead:
- Cheap shot - Rhythm Blade - Bump - Sneak Attack - Shield Bash (reposition) - Backstab - Mez again.

Hope somebody finds it useful.
Cheers

I have a question, I have dual boxing my fury and trouby, The fury is lvl 61 and climbing and I was curious, what aa's would you run for the trouby dual boxing with the fury? Would you still run the agi sta and wis line? I havent had any trouble taking down mobs but I would like to get as much dps out of the troub as possible.

I just came back from like a 5 month hiatus so im still learning the changes they made to everything.

What's a good setup for a mix of grouping and soloing?

my aa's are almost exactly the same as posted, except i go down the INT line instead of the AGI line and put the points into maxing the haste song. My reasoning for this is we never have that perfect raid force. I rarely have an illusionist for haste, our dirges do not yet have mythicals and we often have another scout or brawler in the group who can take advantage of the added haste. With this set up I dont change my aa's or songs I run when going from raiding to soloing

Songs: (alins, arias, fortifying, allegretto, power ballad) If we are fighting high oranges ill drop fortifying for song of magic.

We've been discussing Bellow AA of late and here is my opinion. Please bear in mind that I'm still learning to be a troub myself. I find it pretty useless. It stuns and procs but does no real damage. In the time it takes to put that debuff on I could have proc'ed twice using CA.

As for arrows. There is a sweet spot where you can cast both CA and arrows. I'm not saying use arrows all the time as it is a long cast and recast. But it is a great DPS bonus when you either have the boss step back out of range (someone peeled) or those really exquisite moments when everything is going at once but wait, there's a button you can still push.
