Re: Future home of troubador AA thread
RAID SPEC
From reading over the post in this forum i find the most popular AA build for a raiding troubador at the current time is. Some may disagree on the effectiveness of the 2 wards but i find them insanely good.
Bard line
starter - 1 Bard's luck
agi - 4-4-4-8 maxing poison proc
sta - 4-4-4-8 maxing group double attack
wis - 4-4-6-8-2 maxing allegro, 2 extr points in selo's to get the end line dktm
int 4-1 getting a point into rhythm blade to make up for a lack of offensive stance. (alternatively str 4-1 blade dance personal immunity)
Troubador line
5 reverberating shrill
5 painful laminations
5 Thunderous overture
5 Perfection of the maestro
1 sonic interference
5 cheap shot
5 sonnet
5 stifling missile
5 Peaceful melody
1 harmonization
3 power ballad
5 aria of magic
5 arcane tempo
5 elemental tempo
5 jester's cap (from peaceful melody)
1 resonance
4 spell rebuff
Edit: Changed to reflect discussion on the thread.

Re: Future home of troubador AA thread
i agree, those two wards are insanely good. especially if you a troub in the raid with the 3piece VP set to remove the conc from de-aggro. With it up i have passively out healed a few healers from time to time. By soaking up the little damage (the ward is approx ~288 afterall) the healers do not have to waste time and mana on little damage like some damage shields.

leftover 2 i dumped into spell rebuff but feel free to put them some place better if you can find it.

I was spec'd this way for a long time, but if you raid a lot with an illusionist who has his mythical, you might consider dropping 2 points from power ballad and putting 2 more points into spell rebuff.
Since the illusionist epic, I've rarely ever run power ballad anymore.

Re: Future home of troubador AA thread
I see why you'd drop Power Ballad, but what do you run instead?

RoR or song of magic believe it or not. they are not as worthless as they used to be. 3 set free's us up to run w/e resist buff we need.

I don't have the 3 set yet, but I run arcane ward which helps a lot when you have about 10 people using chokers in the raid.
Once I get that, as Ballads said, depending on the fight I'd run either Song of Magic or Requim.

Re: Future home of troubador AA thread
I used RoR a lot recently, it's pretty damn amazing on avatar fights and even Trakanon, however I always covered with the three-set bonus (only had to sacrifice 4 melee crit from the hat for it).
I don't always have an Illu in the group, but I'll explore that option then. It's really become quite impossible to get run OOM unless the mob drains power.

Re: Future home of troubador AA thread
I would have to say I love turn strike. It allows me to stay in an fight when the joust is called thus I can do more DPS inside.
