I was presuming one of these two effects would increase the damage that 'Draining Incursion' and 'Ceremonial Blade' do but neither of them appear to make any difference. Anyone know if this is a bug or are those two abilities not classed as either combat arts or spells?

If this has been mentioned before could someone please direct me to a previous thread as I've been unable to find any on this topic.

+CA damage will increase the mental damage portion of draining incursion, and will increase the damage of the first hit of ceremonial blade.

just tested this myself.

Could be my UI is faulty but it doesn't appear to do much for me. I equip a Riliss Chicken Foot (+50ca damage) and the only thing I get is a marginal increase (2/3 points) which I presume is coming from the extra STR.

Hmmm.. do you have tonnes of +CA already?

Actually nm, I have loads (vp set etc) and I still see a big difference. Perhaps the spell dmg bug is also affecting CA dmg!

You are probably at the cap.

Yap think so! Maybe your spells are A1 or lower, since the cap refers to basic dmg, which is lower for lower quality of spells, as well as low int/str depending on ca vs spells
