I have both types of macros, one target/tell for weird fights where people need to know their reuse timers are better and the (4) others for, basically, trash where I just cycle it on our dps classes.
Yap same for me except I got another Makro for healers - when things change badly during an encounter I hit it and there are all 3 MT Healers in it - I just still believe it makes sometimes a difference
