Default Testing the HO AA

Hey.

I wanted to try something differently when it comes to our aa, so i have been playing for a few days specced so i get the HO 50% effectiveness song and have been really trying to land good HOs with my guild. Thing is most pick groups only ones doing HO is for themself. No one really aims for the group buffs/heals and dmg dealing stuff. Eiither they dont know how to or they dont care/think they make a difference. Result: Crappy mana regen(but it stacks, yay...), occasional heal, extra dmg,and the group buff that raises all stats.

I created an extra tab that shows only Heroic opportunites but it only shows who starts/finishes the chains and the name of the HO. Is there a way so i can see how much damage is inflicted and so on? without having to scroll like crazy in my combat log.

Anyway im posting here to see if i can get som opinions on what you think of the whole idea of using HOs. Oh and how many of you use them in raids? I will probably respecc to the standard crap that is posted here cause it is the optimal. Would be fun though if there were more choices that are "worth" it.

If HOs were any good, the 50% increase would be worth it, but since HOs pretty much suck in general there is no reason to get this finisher, and if you do you are wasting your points which you could have spent elsewhere.

The INT line has some benefit to dirges, because they buff DPS and that buff gets a big bonus. As troubs buff haste, which in RoK is pretty much a pointless buff (with RW CoB and groupwide Rapidity), the INT line is shit for troubs. The HO stuff is also pointless.

Our guild is not big enough to handle raiding so i only know what i know from pick ups. But its my vision to raid in eq2 so i want to know all there is about it. For example who casts CoB?

HO's suck in general for 99% of heroic content because battles in good DPS groups last 15-20s at most; versus named maybe a bit longer at 40s. You aren't going to get many HO's let alone the fact that most of time people are trying to spam their skills as fast as possible and consider a completed HO a lucky bonus.

IMO HO's need a complete overhaul due to their ineffectiveness in any group let alone raid setting. Solo, its a nice perk for a bit more dmg or getting Bravo's Dance up and then trying a named you normally couldn't kill and even then, I think totems, potions and city status items do more for you in that setting than an HO could.

The only real use for HO's were back at launch when a HO was a good way to get mobs dead because of weak gear for all classes across the board. I remember working to get HO's for debuffs put on epics back in those days - Pre LU13.

Invest your AA somewhere else.

Rspecced yesterday to the "regular" with dktm and double attack in sta and my dps on parse has gone up so im satisfied and dropped the whole Ho thing. Though i still think its worth it to do the solo one for swindlers luck(and occ. bravo) to get my hit rates up.

Still in small groups of 3-4 ppl ho can make a difference cuz the mobs dont die as fast. But i guess grouping with 3-4 ppl is a rare thing nowadays .
