Default Fairly noobish troub with melee problems

My guild is on the verge of being able to take down druusk. I know the mythical will have a huge effect on my autoattack problems but im still perplexed as to how and why my autoattack damage is so low (only 369) My mellee hit rates in any zone harder then PR are just total and complete garbage. I know that neglecting mellee stats on gear like im doing cant help but im somwhere around half and half with my gear. The biggest thing i can figure out in and around people calling each other retarted is that some troubs get Ilusiary arm and agitate all the time. From my guistimate that would double my autoattack dps bringing it from 370 to about 740ish.
total dps on a magmatic globlule in VP is 1717
Now tonight i also just got marrows song so using that did drop my melee crit but other then that the gear im showing is the gear i use.

Now my big question is what are you people doing other then agitate and ilusiary arm (two buffs i never get in raids) and gear that has such a huge impact on autoattack damage?
I also want to know since i am a scout group buffer and will most likly never get ilusiary arm or agitate is mellee even worth worying about?
Also is the mythical going to increase my autoattack damage by huge numbers?

Melee is always worth worrying about, especially once your guild has the mythicals.
Not so much because of your own mythical, bur more because of group wide Illusionist haste and raid-wide CoB

What is your
- melee crit chance
- double attack
- haste
- dps mod
in your usual raid's group?

The formula for high auto-attack dps is fairly simple:
- Get the above mentioned stats as high as possible (even if for haste and dps mod after if becomed a bit pointless after you hit ~125)
- Move in as soon as possible, with a bow shot (if you don't rip aggro off your tank with that), and hug that mob's ass.

Other than that, there's not much you can do, it totally depends on raid setup then:
- Use mixed groups. The synergies of a scout receiving mage buffs outweigh the benefit of a 4th mage in a mage group by far.
- Check your buffs. Grasp from a Warlock or Blade of Ro from a Wizard is not too much to ask. (Tbh I doubt many Troubadours get Agitate or Illusory Arm a lot of the time, at least not both)
- Run Opus if you are low on haste
- Get STR up, if you are sitting at 600 or so you will not see the results some people in this forum are talking about. If your INT is high, you might consider STR adorns on wrist items instead of INT.

To actually see what you might be doing wrong/different or if it's just the circumstances of the group setup/buffs, please post some more info about that.

Need some parses tbh. Difficult to see where u may be going wrong. I found the biggest help to my melee auto damage was to stand on the mobs toes. Its easy to forget when u are chain casting spells and debuffs to remember to keep within melee range.
There is an ACT plugin that 'dings' when you Auto-attack. You dont really need to 'time' your auto attacks, but the dinging ACT at least lets you know that you are hitting with Auto-attack. I dont recall the link, but someone will have it.
I always have haste up btw and Im usually in a mixed group, so I rarely get IA.

try to get smth like this:
Lifespike, Stiletto of Ruin
The Witchdoctor Doomblade
and go in melee as soon as possible. your autoattack will be at least 1.8-2k if you have good crits, DA & dps mod.

This was a problem for me aswell. Very easy to either stand too close or too far.
