Mmm, can we possibly get confirmation whether or not they so stack? Otherwise it looks like I'll be looking for a new ring (ie the one that goes on your finger, not a ... well anyway)...

Also, I have been feeling rather sad at my pathetic parses so last night I had a little bit of a play and tried something other than the usual button mashing as I was noticing that my melee DPS was all of 15-20% of my total rather than the 40+%. What I found was that by trying to actually time auto-attack instead of just constantly spam spells/CA's, my DPS improved.

Should this be the case, or am I missing something?!

I have done the same, timing it with sounds from ACT but my dps did not improve. That doesnt mean its the same to you. I still miss a good number in da and melee critt.

How do you manage the autoattack timing with act?

They use custom triggers to give them a beep every time they auto attack, use 2-3 abilitys depending on cast times, then wait for the beep again.

Sure fired to lower your parse now days but in kos it had its place. Now if you want to use act for something use full I'd say make a custom trigger every time you get the to far away message. Some hit boxes are small and this will help you not end up in that CA, but not melee range that small hit boxes and frequent moving of targets sometimes casues. Also it will remind you to turn your bow attack when you joust out.

They don't stack, but it still may be useful to use them both since it's more of a chance that the proc will be up.

triggers/sounds tab in act. Choose a sound a bit down in triggers section and insert .*?YOU hit .* and .*?YOU critically hit .* as your "triggers". personally i like this better then having a sound for when im too far away. It gives me an estimated sense of how often im hitting and reminds to kick in swindlers cause im missin more often ;).

There's also a plugin for that which can be obtained through the ACT forums, called "Double Attack" (the name is misleading since it can beep for single attacks too).

Cool, thanks for the feedback Dants. I had a bit of a play over the weekend and found the same thing. But you are spot on by saying that having them both on did increase the chance of the proc being up.
