Now that its changed, why was the old version so OP for certain classes? I assumed you guys meant warlocks and necros but Im not really familiar with most caster spells.

yeah I love the upbeat tempo and the Jcap bonus. should be fun to see the damage fly when the enhanced jcap lands on the target of upbeat tempo.

I also like that despite not doing much for our personal dps, they are giving us better/more buffs to make us wanted.

Warlocks and Necros have a lot of spells that are dots(a lot). So by adding +2 tics to all of them increased their DPS a lot, whereas other classes not so much. Now by dropping it to +1, but making it mini-TC to all abilities, makes it really good.

I found it most op on warden tbh. So much that the warden in my guild feedback everyday to have it changed to raidwide castable.

I played a Necro as my raid-main for years. No Summoner that parses well "waits" on his DoT's to run duration before recasting it. There has to be something else going on with this buff if you seen an increase in DPS from it.

Now if it managed to put in those two extra ticks and still keep the spell duration the same there would be a boost in DPS.

I did not have my Necro beta copied--on a different account now and no longer my main concentration. I cannot comment first hand on whether any real fixes went in for that class in ToS.

That is how it was. Total spell duraction stayed the same, while increasing the tick speed of the DoT/HoT, essentially making it awesome for the aforementioned classes.
Should be the same now, but instead of two additional ticks you only get one.

Got an evening off raiding and actually "Play"...er test TSO beta. Ran lower Guk I believe with a small group of 4 copied guildies.

After the runs one thing was obvious, lots ole multi-mob encounters. I realize this might not be news to some but it makes me think we might need to rethink our damage priority from RoK to more Spell damage, ie spell crit/sd to make our AE spells more effective.

Just throwing this out for some thoughts and comments.

Stacking SD to increase AE nukes is pretty futile. Not to mention we have abysmal AE nuke(s) to begin with.
