Crusader casting speed boosted in TSO - bards forgotten about?
I hope we all can agree that a class relying on both spellcasting and autoattack is at a disadvantage by default. The more time you spend casting, the more you will delay (or even omit) weaponswings.
In the upcomning "tank & aggro" revamp it seems our caster/melee hybrid brothers (the crusaders) were largely 'fixed' in that regard. The casting time for almost all of their spells were lowered to a base of 0.5 seconds - just like CA's.
So, what reason could there have been to not give bards the same benefit? As a troub, I find it highly disappointing to know my fancy weapons will never reach their true potential in my hands. Having to split my gear and statsboosts between casting/melee is one reason for that, and one I gladly accept. The fact that I often am casting my spells AT THE COST OF melee attacks - not so much. Especially now that crusaders (rightfully) have been relieved of that problem.
I can only dream the base casting time of our abilities could be altered to something like this:
Shrill, Essence - 0.5s
Overture, Lamentation - 1.0s
All encounter debuffs - 0.5s
Jester's - 0.5
PoTM - 1.0
What say you, folks?
