They fixed dots and DA a while back. The real problem lies in the way these DS's are designed. They read, on damage has a ?% chance todo x. On those procs can set it off. All SoE would have to do is make it, on a successful attack has a ?% chance todo x. Blam zomfg problem solved. Still, you dont see other scout dropping their o stances or poison.

Do you mean, that procs (like poisons, attack stance etc) still trigger DS's?

Like is said its all in the wording of the ds. I do believe if the ds says off any "damage," they can be set off by procs. MasterP's ds comes to mind.

Procs cannot cause a DS to react, unless there has been a change recently. When the initial change was made, the change was done such that (paraphrasing here) "if it cannot proc something, it can't trigger the DS".

Has any1 reconsidered using a round shield?

I know most suck and the dps hit is pretty bad, but say there is a bard specific shield, would you guys then think about it?

It'd have to be an amazing shield. Just as a base it'd need to have a mod something like this:

-Changes your double attack mod to be a flurry chance (4 auto-attacks).
-On successful flurry, any procs that normally trigger off your auto-attack may trigger twice.
- If you do not flurry then you will double attack (100%)

That mod ^ would be only to compensate for the auto-atack damage yyou'd lose from equipping a shield. Ontop of that it'd need a damage proc and the ability to be adorned with either shield *OR* weapon adornments. And then it'd have to have better stats than the weapon I would be using instead.

In short, it'd have to be the most god-like shield you've ever seen.
