some troubadours do the stamina line, since in mage groups you generally don't need group AE avoidance. from what i've read, the damage is comparable and you get a shield. /shrug

Because pure-mage groups have been shit since T6 doesn't mean everybody use pure-mage groups.

I see far too many bards in raid guilds passing up one of them... I really dont get it, our other lines are junk... a poison proc that adds what 100-200 dps to one person, a line that lets us use a shield to do comperable dps to what we could do with dual wields, cause we need to tank shit ?, and the int line that gives us, what +12% added to our dps/haste buff...
I will take the ability to shield myself from an aoe every minute, my group once an encounter and a substancial group wide crit bonus over the other options any day, think you'd be nuts not to.

See i disagree on this point. It depends on your raid set up and what classes your packing. I like "pure-mage" group if im running a full 2 tank group setup ,but if im running more of a 3 dps raid with 1 tank group i might use more mixed groups. I know disso doesnt use a pure-mage group ,but we do and from what i hear are raids are putting out about the same dps.
