Mmh... I don't think it's so shitty.
Shrill = good cast time to damage ratio (0.4s cast time, 7k crits np)
Eli's = High base cast guarantees many procs. So not that bad.
Tap Essence = mmh okay, it's very LOL.

Average Double Attack Crit = 5k * 4 = 20K.

I also meant that quote as spell damage without accounting for proc's. Meaning Eli's 3k hits and Tap Essence 2K hits are complete shit when comparing it to a potential 20k Double Attack crit.

I still think melee is the way to go personally and I still lean that way. I am no expert by any means though and I cant parse the numbers that some of the high end troubs in great raid guilds do so take what i say with a grain of salt.

I have seen better results going MC/DA than spell crit. Not that I dont think spell crit is nice to get, obviously it will help you but I dont sacrifice my melee crits for it unless it would be a major upgrade.

You know what I learned, from being in a few diff guilds, and apping/joining some 1st/2nd best on multiple diff servers... Same char, same gear, same ideals, same for the most part sequence of clicking... The time of the encounter makes a huge diff in the dps, just a reply regarding your no being able to DPS as well as others. I noticed it more with my monk in KoS, but also felt it on my Troub in EoF raids.
