Is anyone going to drop there ranged weapon in favor of the TSO quest reward? If so why? Also can the Drum be adorned with the 12 DPS adornment? Thanks in advance!

Already have dropped Vol'Drath for this item. Use a macro to arm the bow when ranged is needed and vice versa.

Its not a ranged weapon, it uses a ranged / symbol slot, you can adorn it with symbol adornments, ie +1 spell crit, or +50 mental spell damage. I've not bothered to adorn mine.

Since the proc is "fixed" its well worth wearing and don't forget the bonus to spell timers ie JC/PotM. It all adds up to more than you'd get with a +12 DPS adornment on a bow.
