Hey, first off, I'm a girl so be NICE!! ty

I'm getting upset. I can't figure out why I fucking suck so bad. Other troubys are doing 1k more dmg then me and I just wanna fucking jump off a cliff.

Gear. My gear has gotten better. I have 5 T3 piece, 1 T4 and a T4 drop for shoulders. I have my Myth and the Lavastorm pick thing. Guild wanted me to take it cause they said it was better then what I had. My jeweler prolly sucks, not real real bad, but yeah, it's not fantastic.

AA. I have 176, think. I need one last AA pt to be able to activate UT. I'm sporting normal trouby AA specks except AGI line. I think I have 5 pts in poison prok and 5 or maybe 6 in Bump. I really like bump. It makes me smile when I can rob mobs =) Plus it puts me in stealth so I can nite strike right after.

Is it cause I don't have 200 AA? 8pts in poison that important? omg help! I can kill the adds off the snake in tombs, i'm not horrible, i know how to play my damn class, i'm just pissed i can't parse worth a damn.

Forgot to add spells. eVerything is A3 of course. I do have masters also. Buffs and attacks

What kind of DPS are you currently doing and where do you want to be? What's your normal casting order?

You have t4 shoulders and they are not made?

Myth is fine, what adornment do you have on it? What is your Off-hand?

Agi line is 4,4,4,3 (if you want Turnstrike AND Rythmblade)
4,4,4,8 (if you want either TS or RB).
Sta 4,4,4,8 for DA
Wiz 4,4,6,8,2 for DKtM
All this has been stated before covering AAs.

AA, gear, spell quality all contribute to parsing but saying that you can have great gear and still not parse better than another Troub. If you're wanting to parse you will need to work out a workable cast order that works for you.

Find a guildhall with training dummies and spend some quality time there with your friendly ACT parser. It will make a diffference. Your issue could be as simple as not being in close enough to Auto Attack. The parser will tell you what you're doing, not doing, was your AA hits hitting on time or delayed.

Link to your Toon ie, Onoes would help when examining gear and AA choices. There's simply not enough information in your post for any real help.

Okay, 179 AA pts, just got UT last nite.

Do I need 8pts in poison prok?

so yes, i've been informed that auto attack is important, ty for the tip on that one. This makes me wonder if i need to put 8 pts in poison.

Stop putting points in bump you only want 4 in it.

AGI line should be 4-4-4-3

3 points in poison is all you need for it to be up the majority of times on raid mobs. Sure it might proc a whole lot earlier with 8 in it but the advantage of turnstrike is too great to pass up. Instead of jousting the melee AE on something like Kultak (just an example of an easy mob with an AE) you can stay in the whole fight with proper timing and a little luck with it hitting. Just make sure you have a decent Maintained spell window that will show you all the effects you have up so you know if you can stay in or not.

I've gone through the same thing as an Illusionist, and here's generic advice I have:
- understand and work on your spell order - if necessary, look through your logs to see the spell order of other troubs who are doing better than you
- to provide specific advice, people need to know a lot: what's your %crit, +dmg, INT, STR, etc? What gear are you wearing? Can you post an ACT parse against a training dummy (and if you're not in a guild with a training dummy, try the training wall in Kunzer)? The more details people get, the easier it is to help.
- understand why 'good' equipment is good. Until you max key stats (% melee crit, % spell crit, + spell dmg, + ca dmg, etc), you need to balance them. Is %melee crit worth more the %spell crit? Is 1 %melee crit worth 10, 20, or 30 %spell crit?

Finally, you need to build a shopping list and work on getting items on your list. Shard runs are great for T2, but there are some great instance items and even better raid loot being sold in the /raid channels.
- Identify and rank 3-5 upgrades for each slot. Know where you get each upgrade. You should know at least know the best instance loot, best beginning TSO raid loot, and the T3/WoE loot and how good it is
- identify and rank 2-4 specific goals (finish dark mail HQ, finish ethernauts collection, get wrist drop from <zone>, get more AA etc) and work towards those goals regularly. It may take you 2 weeks to find or create a group to achieve your first goal, but in those 2 weeks you should have made progress on goals 2, 3, and 4.
- if you don't raid, watch for pattern/raid loot sales. Depending on the server, pattern, and time of day, you can pick up pattern pieces for as little as 50p-100p. Rare pieces will obviously go for more.
- When possible, avoid expensive interim upgrades. For example, if you've decided to buy the T4 boots and you don't have enough shards to upgrade everything to T2, avoid spending the shards on T3 boots.


Example:
- My primary goal is finishing the Dark Mail HQ -- they're the best gloves for my class. I try to create or join a group hitting an appropriate zone.
- My secondary goal is finishing the Ethernauts questline -- short of raid/avatar loot, it's one of the better items I can get. If I can't get a group for Dark Mail, I'll take any group doing one of the Chapter 5 zones for the Ethernaut questline.
- My third goal is getting the Bloodthirsty Choker -- either buy or loot it. I've got 50p set aside for it, I set aside more money as I earn it, and I join any groups headed for SoF if I can't find a group for goal 1 or 2.
- My final goal is AA's. I'll run the solo missions in Moors while I keep an eye out for opportunities to do goals 1-3.

Wow, thank you very much! Now I know about the AGI line and where to stick the pts there and STR. I love the "have goals" thing. I was doing that, sorta, but I really like that. Thanks guys!!

Gear really changes a troubador's dps also, when I first joined my guild I was barely hitting 1.5k in raids, now I'm doing ~5k and I still have room to improve.

I fiddled with some stuff, moved my AAs around and I'm happy with my parse and know it'll get better along the way. Thank you so much for the help!! The AA was the biggest help.
