What to do with DPS?
As we all know, RoK is coming out pretty soon, and me and a friend have discussed some stuff about our dps that i thought i would bring up here.
Yes we are not the best dps as it is, we can dps, but we are mainly there to improve others dps. - not the point of the discussion tho.
Ive looked through all of our DDs, it seems none of our dmg skills (except Sandras, Dancing Blade, Alins and Kian's) will get upgraded with RoK (seeing we follow the 14-levels-upgrade-cycle), which means were left only with a chance of relying on the new weapons to balance our DPS.
Perfect Shrill, Elis, Steal Essence and Noble Blade wont be upgraded which is, at least for me, the primary skills i use to deal damage with, and if they aint upgraded then we will be stuck with (around) the same dps as in T7. Weapons in T8 really have to be very nice and bard only before it can make up for the loss of dps from our skills.
Now i havent looked at other classes to see if their dps skills will get upgraded or not, but if we are one of the only ones then we will really be left in the dirt with much lower dps compared to others.
Ofcourse there can be some AAs that will help us a little, but the AAs really have to be uber before they can make up for the loss of dps.
We also get a Epic weapon, which, i hope, will be very nice and be the core of our dps in T8, cus otherwise were kinda screwed unless SoE invents something for us.
