Default Re: PoM on the pull

Well I recently went from squishy troub to melle troub and I have to say I use POM alot less now...I never used POM on the pull unless theres tons of mobs we need to burn really fast..like treah greenroot in EH or something...the boost my mages get out of it far outweigh anything I can dish out in an encounter like that. It's all about positioning really. Instead of using POM on the pull, use all your debuffs first since they can be casted on the run then once the mob is set and your not in danger of an aoe POM is great especially if your a squishy troub and not relying heavily on your melle. I've tried atleast 4 differnt play styles for my troub, I personally get more out of my troub by being a melle troub but Im sure the overall raid has lost out on some benefits as POM and Jesters. Guess it all depends on how you like to play the class.

As a caster, I much prefer when the troub casts prescion about 3-4 seconds into the pull. That gives the mobs enough time to have been pulled and start getting to where I expect them to be, and also enough time to have everything up and firing so you dont waste anytime.

I never cast PotM during pull. Let it get stable first (hate + position), then I move into melee range and hit PoM (when it's up and if I feel like it ;) ).
On multi-mob encounters, PoM too early is far too likely to give aggro to a squishy, so I might wait even longer there (10s maybe?).
