PoM on the pull
Is this a sound idea to PoM on the pull so your debuffs proc and add more damage to you? It seems dicy with aggro and and really needs timed when the mob is debuffed.
Not being a troub i defer to the experts.

Re: PoM on the pull
I tend to fire up Potm on pull on big grps - like the Brownies in EH - and then just cycle through 3 of my AEs and keep them going, canceling them, casting them etc etc.

Re: PoM on the pull
Its all about the aggro control. With your own deaggro buff up, and aggro control in the MT group (for raids) you should be fine to do this. In my own raid setting I wait until the MT calls in the MA before using PotM. Immediatley after I cast it, I also cast JC on one of the casters so that they can hopefully pull off a few more spells.
All depends on the mob your fighting. On those mobs that need huge debuffs, I usually cast my JC on the brigands on the pull and hold off on JC until the first round of debuffs has worn off, then I pop PotM. Of course, I use JC with a caster and PotM in conjunction with eachother so as to maximize their damage.

Re: PoM on the pull
So casting this on the pull in a single mob named encounter (like the third named in FTH) is alright?

As long as you are in the correct position and don't get hit by the AEs, why would it be bad?

Re: PoM on the pull
You can do it, but if you get knocked back or the named moves, all you have to do is cancel PoM and move back to the correct positioning..

First i used that mob as an example of single target named but if you run a high risk of needign to cancel it havent you just wasted it?
Second, I am confused on how casting it on the pull generates more DPS for the group (named here) than coordianating with dispatch and/or short term buffs (DM or Monetary sentemint for example).

Because dispatch is usually up as soon as the mob gets positioned, which is almost the same time right after the pull, and any illusionist who doesn't just toss sentiment up pre-pull is dumb.

Pinski is right about dispatch... Isn't using it for 20 seconds and having to cancel 10 seconds early better then not using it at all?

Re: PoM on the pull
yes debuffs should be going in first, want to try to have it up as much as possible in the optimal situation. Just test and see what works best for you and your group.
