The other slot is occupied with Mystical Orb of the Invoker already, so can't use both of the above. So which do you think is better?

I would go with the Orb for the +pierce and the proc, if you get a crit that proc can hit for up to 1k.

Of course, if you are using slashers, I'd go with the Earring of Tunare.

On the other hand, get a proper bow and some proper ammo and use the tunare one.

Just did freethinkers, 8% added melee+ranged would outweigh planar orb procs more than twice. Of course i'm only using the dark linger with its 2 second delay, so that might account to lousy procrate.

edit: No templar nor any other proc modifications in group, 1.8 per minute.

Actually, you'd need to take Melee Damage/1.2(or whatever 20DPS gives you from your adornments), then multiply that value by whatever your value is after you equip all your DPS-mod gear that you'd want to equip to compare with and check the damage difference.
