Start watching your shit people. Another person hacked and this time on Unrest. Cleared the fucking guild bank, stripped someone's main, alts. The characters then started transfers with a level 1 ogre zerk named Ochiapiim in the big bend.

Change your passwords, do whatever. This is fucked up.

Yup real screwed up!! Think twice about buying plat also. If you use a credit card to buy plat they have been using the card numbers to start new accounts to use for the spaming. Then the next thing you know Sony is asking you why you have an account that is spamming plat selling adds and then you main acct gets banned. Not to mention you just paid for it.

I think the mass "hacking" going on right now may actually be due to keylogging phish things from banners on websites but I have spoken to devs before and it is a fact as stated, the plat selling companies use the credit cards of their own customers to do illegal spamming. Real nice.

I know it's just a dream but if no one bought plat, the companies would die out with no new credit cards incoming to keep up thier advertising in game. Since I know that this was going on long ago during early eq1 and swg, it will likely go on and on forever for every online game because there is always some rich guy who's time is too important to waste getting plat in game but wants to raid top tier content.

Not that I'd tell you to do anything against the EULA, but if you really want to buy plat I'd suggest *discreetly* asking around to people you trust and know, maybe a guildie or friend has excess and could use a few bucks. I hear complaints all the time of the poor people with 500-2000 plat with nothing to buy. Boo fucking hoo.

Yes, using CC on the plat buying/selling websites is just the primary scapegoat due to the already illegal nature of the sites.

Right but if no one bought plat from them, they'd have no incentive to go steal more plat from players and they wouldn't phish, steal credit cards, and whatever they do.
