I'm sorry that most of these games have become just mmo's and not mmorpg's. I swore loyalty to 5R for life in the game... as in my char did. I don't expect people to understand this, because the whole roleplaying aspect of these games are pretty well lost by now. I however am roleplaying when i'm playing this game. I have a different personallity IRL than i do in the game. Falconclaw is forever bound to Five Rings... and i will never let the guild die. EOD.
Now talking about our former leaders, i agree with most of what you are saying BUT i can tell you this much - they bouth burned for the game and for keeping the 5R family together. Bouth left 5R leadership way too late and didn't listen enough to other peoples ideas and views. Personally i liked them bouth, though i don't think their leadership abilities where very good at times. Nixin/Felan stayed on way too long and he actually got physically ill from the stress. I know his GF very well and i can tell you this much; he should've left 6 mounths before he actually did. But his dedication WAS second to non, and i must admit that i'm a little ..... anoyed with ignorant people who say anything less. He dosn't deserve it tbh, and he DID manage to keep 5R going - and pretty well - after Cinadien suddonly left.
Now Cinadien was a very passionet guy and he often let this come in the way of rational desissions. I know he did his best, but he had a "buisnessman" aproach to running the guild, and this didn't always work out very well... In spite of that, he did actually do some good at times, and i admire his spirit... though not always the execution...
To the whole "who is the oldest" tbh i've just been told that we where the oldest. I wasn't an "original" member of 5R - so you might be right... not gonna argue anymore about it.
To who i ment tried to destroy 5R ... WELL ... Quite a few people have posted shit about us on the various forums with ill intent, and i get why. I actually CONDONE this behavior cause that actually is - in it's own way - roleplaying. I know alot of lies have been going on cause i've read alot of them, and some former members of 5r who got booted cause they sucked, have been a big part of these.
Five Rings has been hurting for a long time, and this is clear to anyone. We have had to make due with 2nd rate players and servertransfers (some of them good - some not) for a long time, and finally the drama became too much. So be it... But 5R has for many years been a big part of events on this server - weather u think positive or negative - it has been part of the entertainment value for alot of people inside and outside the guild.
- As a tribute to this, i am keeping the guild up and running. I invite you and your alts to come and be a part of Five Rings. The rules are simple. The humor is mature, so don't come in if u can't take it, and don't be a retard and/or a ninjalooter.
(btw. im from denmark so no need to point out misspellings and broken grammar :-P or the next post will be in danish!)
