I've been playing EQ2 for a few months now, but it looks like the people who got me hooked have all jumped ship to Age of Conan. I couldn't get into the theme or interface of AoC, so I've decided to stick with EQ2. I never got the chance to raid with my original guild, but I love the thrill of killing epic mobs. I'm looking for a new guild on Unrest, preferably one where I can get into raiding.
I'll cut to the chase. I'm a 27 year-old Java developer. I don't have much experience, but I love problem solving and I learn quickly. I'm always happy to help, and I'm nearly impossible to offend. I play EQ2 about six nights a week, for at least 4-hours at a time (some weekends I'm on for 12-hours at a stretch). I'm willing to give a guild some serious time and dedication if they'll help me hone my abilities.
Right now my primary character is a level 69 Guardian / 71 Weaponsmith (Decoy). I've created an alt who is a level 31 Wizard / 21 Provisioner (Poing). I'm willing to try any class a guild needs, but I may need a hand getting the character up to level. Soloing is never as fun as slaughtering mobs en-mass with a good group.
While a Guardian may not have been the best choice for a starting character, it has allowed me to take a more active role in groups. I've learned how to pull mobs, monitor the health/agro of group members, and tune my equipment/AAs for tank v.s. DPS. I'm sure that understanding will come in handy no matter what class I end up playing in the guild.
If you're looking for players and I sound like a good fit, please shoot me a message (or email
