I liked it better the other way but not a huge deal.

If we were to keep it in the order it was killed, then there is no point in designating the top 3 and separating them from the rest. Yes, granted, nothing past first matters, but it was decided before me to have top 3, so i left it top 3. If there is enough whining, I will change it to everyone except first kill is alphabetical, no skin off my hide.
