If ya need a 3rd healer in the MT group ya want us for what we do for the tank/other healers and yes when we do have our time to dps melee is the only INTELLEGENT option . I can squeeze off 6 melee attacks in the time it takes to pop off 2 spell attacks which if ya do the math means you are slidin more dps in between heals here and there where ya can.
Should we focus on our dps in raid situatons ,no not really, do i have an entore seperate set of brawler gear i keep for farmin instances? You bet your sweet ass i do and when were bored 2 groupin eof for beer money you better belive im blingin it and breakin 2k
And plan and simple yeah when it all comes down to it once shit is on farm status sure ya donet need us ,sure other classes would fit the slot better and be more beneficial to the raid as a whole.......but fuck em i like raidin and will do my best to make my spot as useful as possible
shutup

I can't believe ANYONE would miss the days of sit & med, stand & CH, sit & med - the life of an EQ cleric sucked.

I actually made my warden because I didn't want to be a primary healer after 6+ years of being a hardcore raiding cleric in EQ. Alas, I'm a primary raid healer again BUT that doesn't mean all I can do is heal.

When we've been short on healers, I've hit 40% healing on the zonewide and still pulled out 1K dps. If I'm not overtaxed as a healer, I can hit 1800 dps and still via for top spot with our MT shaman on the heal parse. THAT is more fun than sitting, standing, CHing, sitting again.

If you aren't going melee as a warden, you're wasting half your potential. It's much easier to smack a CA button in between heals than to try and throw a nuke, making melee healers much more efficient healers overall. Besides, power is almost never an issue on my warden - it's a rare fight that I ever run low. And we have the added benefit of being able to clear trash in RoK instances without having to hit a heal half the time

Be sure to know what you're talking about before using lines like that.

No, seriously. What are you still raiding? EoF? Mobs hit too hard to stop healing in real raids. Want to know what I do, every second of every raid? If anyone is doing anything different, they're doing something wrong.

-Pre-Cast temps
-Single Target Regen(reverse this with group depending on the fight)
-Group Regen(reverse this with single depending on the fight)
-Group Direct
-Single Target Small
-Repeat starting from line two.
If tank takes any damage at any point in time after Regens are up, cast Single Target big heal, unless he dropped below 70% and you know he's unstable, in which case you cast a Death Intervention.

With Bard & Monk it leaves you with approx two seconds of downtime to either refresh temps or cast Velium Frost/Icefall, and thats of course if there was nothing for you to cure in there, usually there is.

You do this because any that you even need to be in the raid for the tank can be two shotted in less than 1 second.

You'll pull about 850-1100DPS ZW doing this, and 2nd or 3rd on the heal parse, depending on what zone you're doing. As far as DPS goes, thats more than enough because its not what we're fucking there for.

If you're Melee spec'd for more than clearing trash or something in Pawbuster just fucking around, you are retarded.

Gale, Healing Grove, Ward of the Untamed(depending on the fight) and Faerie Ally OF COURSE FRIEND!

If you have a Staff of Unending Growth, you could always get up Furious Spirit pre-pull too on the tank!

Does tree ally count as a dumbfire pet? Or is that just the wolf pack we summon. I never seem to see a message saying XXX has killed XXX Grove, unlike with the wolves when they get smacked down one by one...

This is simply to know if there is any problem with summoning the tree in fights where if pets die the raid gets screwed

You can say they are dumb fire because they are not controllable, but only difference is that they don't do any damage.

Casting tree imo is waste of time in 99% of the cases. the fairy isn't though.

Ok .. so screw tree then ... as you can tell by now (or probably with my first post on this forum) I am a very unexperienced Warden... been majorly leveling solo and haven't had any raid experience at all. I think I can safely say I do ok in groups solo healing (I slack sometimes when I am not the only healer thought)...

But can't wait for Raiding once I hit 80. Any other advice asides from shafting tree on raid situations? (asides from reading the generic how to play your warden post)
