Warden AAs
Was just curious what all the wardens are going for out there with new EOF tree.
After i capped my Mit buff cure line the points i have gained have just been sitting there pondering what to do next.
Have they fixed the knockback buff to where it works on epics now or do they never plan on doing that?
Thanks.

Re: Warden AAs
No idea if the knockback was fixed, but it was broken in beta.
What I'm going to do is max out every cure line, then get the SoW upgrade to 45%, then max spores and spirit of the bat. That pretty much covers all 50 points.

Re: Warden AAs
Maxing SoW is ahead of your priority list above Spirit of the Bat, and Regenerative Spores? Hell my Wardens just an alt, but I can't quite see why...
I'll be going.
Enhance to all the cures, thats 25/50 points.
Then max spores & spirit of the bat, 35/50 points, with the prereq into the Enhance Resurrections, it puts you at 38/50.
Lol. Now for the last bit.
Enhance Protecting Grove, Worthless. I never use the spell as is why add in the hell would I want to reduce the recast?
Enhance: Death Interventions. Uh, maybe? Don't exactly consider it entirely useful though so if you put 5 points into that cuts reuse speed down 50%.
Sitting you at 43 points. Not enough in the line to get Reformation though, the finisher in the Renewal line. Lol.
For the last 7, whats there to do? Max out the Ressurections buff at the top of the Renewal line, then get Reformation? eh. Maybe and thats probably best bet.
If I had a few more points I'd go Enhance Trapping Vines 3-> SoW 3-> Patron of the Forest with the remaining one point, simply because on priest-blurs I don't want to get one shotted.
*Shrugs*
I'd probably go
Enhance all Cures (including grp) 5 in each.
Enhance Rez's 5
Enhance Spores 5
Enhance Spirit of the Bat 5
Enhance Death Intervention 5
Reformation
Shatter Infection - basically a wasted point cuz nothing good to go to.
Ugh, and that puts you at 46. Lol. Man I really hate the Warden Tree's.
So lame.
Eh, Shatter Infection would be decent if it was a 'until canceled buff' that lasted until he dropped under 25%. For exmaple, tank goes from 100% -> anything<25% to dead. It won't trigger.

I'm done rambling for now. =p

Enhance Cures 5 points each
Enhance Rez's 3 points
Enhance Spores 5
Enhance Spirit of the bat 5 points
Enhance Root 3 points
Enhance SoW 5 points
Patron of the Forest 5 points
These are the ones that imo are the best. The rest you can do whatever. Maxing Death intervention is a waste imo. SoW is important because it will remind me of running around in T5. In T5 I had SoW, SoW totem, jboots for like 55% run speed. It was fun as hell. Now I can get SoW for 45% and jboots for 55% run speed. That's pretty pimp. I'll have to test out if anything else works with this line too. Plus getting SoW lets you get Patron of the forest yea. The mitigation increase is pretty pimp imo.
The must haves are trauma cure and group cure 5 points. What's good is SoW, Patron of the Forest, Spores and SotB 5 points. Rest is up to the player imo.

Re: Warden AAs
Cures are not worth crap anymore, and regen spores adds 4% to a spell that seems to not work anyway. Add to roots and sow so you can up PotF, and maybe throw a few points in dropping the 1m40s off deagro. If they ever get around to making it so Tunares walk i think it is called works you can just spend some more points in that line to get it. Other than that i switched to ca's just because they have faster casting times which allows me to do some damage and have plenty of time for my hot's and heals. If cures ever get revamped I will definitely switch back to them, but they are just taking away points at this time.

Re: Warden AAs
I just respeced to full melee and am having alot of fun. Its nice to take on lvl 70^^^ heroics and not really worry about dieing, unless you aoe and grab another by mistake. I still feel there isn't alot for the raiding warden in the aa's, but it has been a while since I really raided a lot. Really enjoying myself once again and found solo questing quite fun with this change.
I took a few months off to beta a couple other games. Then I decided I would try Unrest a few nights ago. I realized that this game is really quite good compared to what else is out there. Cancelled a pre-order for a game and trying to get back into eq2 again and warden is a big part of it.

Re: Warden AAs
No, there's not a lot of AA's helpful to the raiding warden, but I think you might be surprised at what that melee line brings you.
Last night, over the course of a 1hr parse in MMIS, I wound up with 92k of my heals coming in from the Natural Boon proc. I'm also doing pretty decent priest damage with the KoS STR/EoF CA line, but mostly impressed with the fact that it's not taking away from my healing.
And Halroth, not sure if it's enough to warrant you wanting it, but my spores hit the MT 363 times in that self same hour, with 100 crits for a total of 56k in heals. I have mine maxed.

Re: Warden AAs
Question for you raiding wardens that have gone to Melee line. This just might be my in-experience with melee, but how are you using your new CA and heals most effectively?
1. For trash are you meleeing and healing in your group and still targetting through MT or do you now target through MA and switch to MT if he needs heals?
2. How are you starting the fight? Do you first cast a hot, run in and start to melee. Do you have a macro that you can target either MA or MT and /autoattack 1?
3. If not in MT group do you focus on melee and have the group proc do alot of the healing and while you are waiting for things to refresh, then switch over to topping others up?
4. For named mobs that aoe etc do you switch out of some melee equipment to the more conventional healer equipment, ie prismatic 2? As a healer I am no good dead, especially if the fight is challenging.
5. What have I missed?
Being that I haven't raided in a while and just respeced this week I felt a little lost when we did clockwork yesterday. I ended up going back to standard healing because I was the only healer in the group for that was taking care of the adds. Any insight into this would be great.

Re: Warden AAs
Wow Annya, lots of questions Afraid have to say "depends" on most of them and I'm not sure for #5 ;)
Will say for #1 that I don't target the MA, I target the MT or the mob (sometimes others to heal them , but not to "target through"). Can also say for #4 that: yes, I carry melee gear, INT gear and various resist pieces; and yes, for some encounters, you'll be going ranged to avoid aoe's.
Hope that helps a bit

Re: Warden AAs
I would rather ask questions from those that have experience in this. I hate doing something half ass. Could always go back to the old heal and nuke, was successful at that but want to try this out further.
