I see both points, i did lke when i mellee spec' my warden, but RoK mobs were freakin' beatin me up, so i decided to go down vines line in eof tree, it helps alt more, but still i think I will go to fury, just cause i like the idea of specing them for healing and still being able to do good damage. If mobs beating you hard when you are in melee spec just take some brawler gear with enough agi and you should be fine.. that's at least what i did when i leveled from 70-80.

Thanks for pointing out yet another valid reason why Melee spec is not a viable option. Point out T8 Melee loot to me that is worth a fuck.

Though after being a smart ass I have to agree, there is hardly any melee gear this expansion due to all the class restrictions if they removed those itemization would be a lot better.

I guess the way I would want to hear an answer would be what is the expected role of a druid overall, and which class accomplishes that role the best. Sort of like, is a druid expected to be a healer that adds dps, or a dps that adds healing. AFTER that is determined, which class does the primary goal the best. No, I’m not trying to weight this towards wardens either. If we are expected to be spot healers that add a good amount of dps, that’s a totally different role. I’m also not stating that wardens heal better, and dps worse, and furys are the opposite. I am just back after years away myself and consider myself basically clueless as to what is what, so I’m very curious about what spells / abilities are out there.

In a nutshell:
1) Which class heals better, and why
2) Which class DPSs better and why
3) What is our primary vs 2ndary goal as a druid.

Go warden then you can bitch on the forums about how your class sucks when you have nothing better to do. Honestly my main question would be is raiding your final objective. Ive always thought that warden was a more efficient single group healer than a fury is. The bottom line from my point of view is. If you want to raid as your end objective be a fury. otherwise be a warden

What do you guys think about raw healing power when it comes to just group play?

Reason I ask is, I was a Warden up until lvl 70, then I betrayed to a Fury for raiding reasons and I just don't feel like the Fury comes close to being able to heal as good. In a raid yes, because like (I think) Phay said the tank gets topped off pretty fast and the Fury has more heals that are suitable to that.

But when it comes to a group in a hard instance and the shit hits the fan I just don't feel like I can put out close to the kind of numbers I used to as a warden..

Fury doesn't compare at all imo. I was a warden and a fury for a while, and you're exactly right....in instances when shit hits the fan, warden can just get it done, and the fury would not. (imo)
