Default Re: Warden v.s Fury..... Which class is best?

fury > warden dps wise, heal wise I'd say the warden is a the tiniest bit of advantage due to the ease of healing vs a fury, ie can be lazy and just spam heals and not time and generally get by.
But overall, even fun factor, I've played a fury a bit as well as my warden, fury > warden, oh and druids in general not essential for raid, reroll to defiler and templar, pick up your sohate chain hat and plate gloves at the door, thx!

<Edited: In after thought, Druids can be useful, if not in a top end guild. They're handy, but not "essential" if your other healers don't suck fucking donkey dick duty.>

I think Superbad hit most of the main points. Of course my vote is warden as well, but I have not played both classes to max like he has.

So the basis for my judgement is response from friends and server population in general. When they want druid heals, they usually call for a warden, due to inadequate healing *they* have experienced from furies. Now I don't doubt much of this is probably the players as much as the class, but it's a pretty widespread symptom. They want a healer for their heals, not their dps (which furies DO excel in as I have seen). The only time I directly see this is when I play alts, and I have seen furies struggle...probably as much with power as they do heals.

To see how SOE differentiates them, you simply need to look at their epic's/myths. Fury proc is dps-based and warden is simply heal based. Add to that the unlimited power (my epic was nearly as much as my myth), and you can outlast (duration-wise) any other healer in the game.

Simply put, you can put on several mana leak pieces, ignoring the other power regen items (four leak pieces I know of) and feed more power to the tank and group than any mythed bard or chanter by a LONG WAYS (I have the parses to show it), without ever hurting your own. Some fights are very long (can you say library in Palace?), and you can keep your entire grp in max power for 5-25 minutes - really as long as is needed. Mana leak also crits when your heals do (which if you're running at 90+ or so self-buffed is all the time), so thats 500 power per proc x 2 per min x 4 pieces, and a group heal gives everyone that same proc (3000 power basically).

As a warden, you don't have to sacrifice good gear pieces for power, so I spend much of my time passively giving it away. Warden AA line is total and unequivacably crap, but the TSO line, especially the end warden line - can you say 15% crit mit buff and 10% base heal, compensates.

Because this thread was originally only pre-TSO, I'm glad someone actually went back and pointed out things the new TSO lines give, as well as the idea of wardens as mana batteries....though every time I have to swap out my 5 healcrit/reuse belt of sweetness for the dizok pond wash belt I die a bit inside.
