Icon9 New Warden signing in.

Just picked up the game last week and so far I'm having lots of fun. I'm duoing with my buddy who made a bruiser and we are cruising through content.

I recently tried out Vanguard hoping that it could satisfy my MMO cravings but it was in vain. I reached lvl 35 and just didn't feel the urge to log in anymore.

So now I´m on EQ2... I played it during beta back in 2004 and back then I wasn't impressed at all. Now it's seems like it's a whole different game and me and my buddy gets all nostalgic with the references to EQ1 (I played all in all 4 years on Vallon Zek, Povar, Antonius Bayle and Stromm).

So what I really want is to say hi and it´s great to be back in EQ and if anyone has some advice or recommendation on what to do or not to do or some links for some Warden guides/tips I will appreciate it I guess I´m mostly looking for advice on how to spec my AA which is kind of confusing.

Regards

Teraz Kazi
Currently lvl 21 Warden on Runnyeye

Welcome There's lots of AA advice on this forum and on the Official Forums so just choose a build that suits you. For soloing I initially went the "melee" line but dropped that as I levelled up - you get some free respecs from a card which you can get off the chap in the yellow portal in the South Q mage tower so you can play around a bit. Nice duo you have there with your bruiser pal, I often team with a monk or a zerker and it's a great combination. You're on my server so send me a tell anytime you need any help.

Welcome to the forums. I'm also on Runnyeye, look me up if you have any questions. My character is Woodlore. It was a long time ago I used anything other than a raid spec but I'll answer any AA queries as best I can :D

From one Warden to another. The best advice I can give is to reroll before you get too far into your class and invest too much time to make rerolling a pain in the ass / undesirable option.

If youre just here to duo around with your buddy and stomp through some heroic zones with some pick up groups then Warden is great for that. If you plan to do anything like raid or get into high end content... Then you have picked the wrong class.

Anyways. Hope youre enjoying your time here. Always good to see a new face at this stage in the game.

So why wouldn't you recommend a warden for raiding?

Without going into it too much...

Basically we lack the utility or dps to keep our spot and be worth more then pure healing on a raid.

So any other healing class > wardens on raids.

This isn't so in very rare cases, but they are few and far between.

I haven't done any serious raiding since the end of KoS expansion, so I can't site specifics throughout EoF & RoK but I assume since everyone is still posting the same things that we have nearly all the same problems.
