I want to know what kind of dps other wardens are putting out in VP against trash. What kind of group they're in and if they're melee or caster spec'd. I'm caster spec'd and in the mage group I'm doing 2k consistantly, sometimes spiking as high as 3k.

My best was 2.1k with melee spec with dirge and zerker in team but usually it went way lower because our tank had a fun of pulling 2 mobs on off stance so no dps time for me

Anyone else have any parses?

Friend of mine seems to think a warden is capable of achieving a 3k+ zonewide parse and I think he smokes crack.

i usually dont parse too well, even on trash mobs when im not needed throwin heals up. i guess i jus dun have the gear for it yet. im new to melee spec, so i havent built up a wardrobe of str gear so even in a raid my str is abysmally low

Well if the warden going fulll dps spec and not casting even single heal and got max buffs i guess it's possible.. but why on earth someone would want priest that don't heal? can have better full dps at that spot

I'm nuke spec'd with fairly decent gear, but mostly geared and AA'd to heal...an I don't dps that high

I've done 1K if not healing. Would love to understand dpsing better to do more, but consistently do about 700 to 800ish.

Edit cause I posted the same time Aerofae did..and wanted to say 'yeah..what he said'. They don't bring healers along to compete with dps..generally.

This thread means nothing until you people show screenshots of your ACT open with a breakdown of your dps.

That being said... Ill try to get some for you guys from me. I dont do a while lot of dps (I'm normally not on raid to do dps), but next time I am I will try and see what I can get for you all.

*edit* or I can just go dig up some old back logs to find some stuff.

Recently I spiked over 4k against one of the elementals in VP, my parse said something like 3.7k and I had TC, but other peoples parses had me over 4k. Part of dpsing when you're caster spec'd is healing while you do it. BTC increases infusion by 10%, and with decent INT and +spell damage you can crit 900+ for each tic of infusion that hits on your group heals. I'll try to find some parses.

My best parse so far was 2k+ zonewide in kor-sha melee specced in MT group, no extremal dps buffs warden shouldnt get, best spike is 3,4k on the fast killable trash mobs. Overking = 1,9k. Thats not that much for a melee specced warden, my weapon is kinda sux (class mythical) and obviously i dont have really good stuff like choker or ring of betrayal, the only good dps thing i have is woodland leggings of dawn - proc did 21% of damage overall. Posting the pie chart wont make any sense since im playing russian-language version.

The same way every other class does. 1st you should determine the edps value of every spell (the formula is (mindmg + maxdmg)/2)/(casttime + recovery time)) then build a castorder accroding to that. Never forget - that every group buff, your elemental ward and group cure - are dps spells too as long as you got infusion buffed (normally you should). So include them in your castorder too... edps for thouse spells is (((mininfusiondmg + maxinfusiondmg)/2)*6)/(casttime + recovery time).
If you put a healthly amount of devotion and do the math - ull make the dps)

Also - its quite recommend to read the guild from wizards section wich kinda shows you the logic of dps class and the logic of making dps overall and gives you a method that can be projected on every class.
