Theres a thread buried somewhere in this forum where Phay explains the math behind + heals and their different cap values.

He explained it so well in that thread that Ive just always pointed people to there for any questions. Hope that answers your questions.
*edit* On a side note, apart from being extremely full of useful information the thread is also full of entertainment value. Half of the reason I still point people to that thread is so they can laugh at those 2 retards from LDL owning themselves.
*edit number 2* In the thread you'll also see that Phay points out how a crit heal subsequently ups the + heals cap on said heal. Drawing a direct 1 to 1 comparison is not really possible because of that because the two play off each other. It also would vary greatly from spell to spell so it would be much more difficult to find an average direct comparison for us as a healer.
If this helps any though a while back I sat down and did some rough math using the heal Photosynthesis for my values and I came up with 1% crit being roughly +10-15 heals if you wanted to try do a direct comparison, but again this has to be taken with a grain of salt. The plus heals front load to the first tick. The crit distributes across the entire heal. They both apply in different ways though and have to be valued different by each player depending on their gear, their class, and their play style.
