I stopped being a noob and got this to work finally. Realized your post said 2+ players in group. I extended my buff bar to include two lines also, makes it easier to find in buff heavy groups.

Temp buffs you cast go to the top of the list It's dumb/sucks. They need to split the window for Temp buffs, and perma-buffs.

What raidwide are you talking about?

One thing I do sometimes in this case, if you feel your tank needs gale (for the first 3 min) and you must have mobility is ask the tank to step away from the group until you're out of range of enough buffs, cast gale, cancel it out of your spell effects and hustle back to the group for the pull.

Heres how to do it. In a group of 2 or more cast Gale. Find the icon for Gale on your SPELL EFFECTS window not your MAINTAINED spells window. The spell effects window is the window that shows all the buff you have on you (group and all) and not the window just showing the buffs you have maintained. Thats the key difference.

You arent canceling the maintained buff, you are simply canceling the effects of the buff from yourself. If you do it properly the icon for sandstorm will still be in your maintained window, your group will still get the effects of sandstorm, and you will be unrooted and not have any of the benefits of sandstorm for yourself.

Note.
This only works if there arent too many buffs in the group. If there are a lot of group buffs you wont ever see the icon for gale in your spell effects window.
Hello fellow Wardens and Merry Christmas! This is my first post ever, but I just wanted to say something, so had to register up and help make a correction.

I just trialed this by grouping with myself. The effect worked as advertised when I cancelled it off myself and my other toon still had Gale on the spells window, but as soon as I got out of range of my warden the spell dropped and I couldn't regain it by getting back in range. I tried the same thing again, this time NOT cancelling the effect on my warden and had my other toon run in and out of range. They would lose the buff then gain it again when back in range. My conclusion is that the bug works, but only if your other group members stay in range of the warden.

Hope this helps!

It's because if it's on nobody, it drops. If it's still on somebody it will reapply when people run in and out of range. Though who runs further than 50m away from their healer?
