/cancel_maintained Sandstorm III might work but chances are it'll drop the entire groups' benefits from it as well as yourself -- so your best bet is to manually cancel it off yourself after casted I guess, it's what I usually do if I care to run around while having it up at the same time.

And Gale is usually located at the very last of your beneficiary/buffs window and can be bumped off if you have too many temporary buffs running at the same time.

No way that I know of. You can cancel maintained, but that cancels just as if you'd, well, canceled it. Gotta tick it off yourself only, as indicated above. If you cast it early enough, you might get lucky that it stays in your window. Otoh, half the gd time casting it procs enough other stuff to fill up those empty slots you thought it would go in heh.

I use it as well. If not just for DEF buff, but to help manage or interrupt heroic adds on raid mobs. Like the flame dude in WoE. Gale FTW on that fight!

The duration on gale is long enough that it's pretty much always up/on short recast, it's not much of a pain every few minutes to cancel an effect from your spell effects. Then again, I used to play an illy back when breeze n' shit was like a 3 minute recast.

Always up on heroics for the knockback/pvp, always up in raids for the defense, so, always up. heh

Whether or not to cast this spell used to be an issue when we had to think about our power in raids. Now, it's not an issue at all. It's free, you can turn it off of yourself so you are not rooted...why would you even wonder if you should use it?

Couldnt hurt.

I can't remember writing that, oops! Yeah I know all about the cancelling gale off yourself and group still have it etc etc, if we discuss it in here is it likely to get changed/fixed?
