Does anyone else have TSO DPS gear suggestions? Up until now I've been just healing paying little attention to DPS. I got my Mallet last night and working hard on gaining any gear that'll increase my DPS.

Thanks in advance

Lots of upgrades in Palace of Ferzhul for dps. Anything with greater void bane (GVB) is your friend. I wear the GVB caster cloak, the base spell damage GVB ring, and both of the fabled GVB wrists (theres one with spell crit one with melee crit).

TSO set gear is also another pretty good bet for DPS gear. Hat and boots are awesome and have both healing and DPS stats. I wear 4 set in my DPS gear set. Hat, Bracers, Gloves, Boots.

Anything with base damage is good for us. The T2 DPS shoulders (Wilderness Warrior set) are really good for dps. The shoulders have 8 / 8 base spell / ca damage and of course theres still nothing better than the choker out there.

I have a few other non raid items in my dps set but they arent very important. Things to look for on gear should be any pieces with combo melee / spell crit or any pieces with damage procs that work on melee attacks.

On a side note, which would be more suited to pvp/dps, my mythical or the Thex Mallet? I can do more damage with the 2h of course, but that takes me down 12 heal crit (with a 5 healcrit shield) and I lose my power regen, not to mention the protection off my shield and the tic bonus off my myth. Is the loss worth it?

Right now from a pvp standpoint I find myself healing my battles to death, basically having to work through 2 health bars (need to run nearly everyone out of power before I even start working on health)... I don't know what I'd do without my power regen.

Try Tinkerings overclocked mana stone, the old mana stone, clarity potions, power roots, and there are some other things like the girdle of the dizok spirit that have the pond wash effect as well. I am not on PVP but used to dual alot and had no problem running folks out of power to kill them. I have seen other wardens on my server just kill folks using auto attack and healing themselves(pre Mythical) so i would think giving up the Myth for the Thex mallet a very viable option. and remember with the effect from the str line you will be procing heals alot especially combined with spores.

Hope this helps and if I am wrong Larry please correct me.

I can kill people with just autoattacks, it just takes eons and generally means having to run them out of power first...my downfall also seems to be Shadowknights lately with Mana Sieve, as though it can be cured off even the initial tic of Mana Sieve is enough power for them to last another minute or so (at least the smart ones that don't just blast at me). It also has an obnoxious habit of burying itself in my detrimentals, so if they play it smart and Mana first, then lay on 2-3 DOTs, it sometimes takes 2 cures or so to get it off. And good luck getting the spell strip to actually land on a player reliably.

Since the Mallet is rated around 130 ( I think) and myth at 115...is the extra little bit worth giving up all the plusses of the myth+board? Damage aside, the myth allows me to heal for a lot more over time.

Yes.

Thex Mallet > Hammer from Deep Forge IMO for pure dps

Been thinking about going back to the ol melee spec for a while and I think ya just convinced me to try it again Larry . I would like to know what your parsing with that setup though.

As for power I know that even now if I wear a different weapon I and get low... I have a macro to throw my mythical on... throw two group heals and you be almost full again... LOL. Power pretty easy to manage that way since we still can flip weapons in combat.

I just tried out WIS spec for the hell of it and I find it to actually be insane for group pvp and not bad for solo pvp if you don't mind healing your pvp to death like you said(INT line Infusion compliments this nicely btw). I'm just hitting 80 on my new main (warden) and don't yet have the gear to compliment the melee spec compared to the gear I have for +spell crit/dmg, so I swap out INT/WIS lines depending on whether or not I need to dps. Other than those 2, full heal spec of AGI/STA reformation/shatter infections etc.

Just mentioning this cause most wardens I've talked to on pvp haven't even tried the wis spec and I tried it and love it. My play style is more based on survivability though too so you may find it boring.
My solo pvp setup has a lot of procs on dmg received gear, at least one good piece of manawell gear or something similiar, and as much +heal crit +heal as i can get, followed by health/power/mitigation or whatever other random effect is useful in pvp. Effects in pvp are key. It's important to pay attention and gear properly too cause you don't want an item that will give you power on a beneficial spell when your spec atm is primarily focused towards spell dmg for example. Same for pvp, I chose a straight heal spec for group pvp and solo pvp and for that reason I only wear power gear that procs on beneficial spells.

Not saying I don't even try and dps them, just saying when I've found myself having to what seemed like spam heals I was surprised just how much health they'd lost on my procs alone. Give it a try imo, if nothing else WIS line is good for group pvp and STR line is kinda bleh in 6v6 cause your healing. Granted the uber-fast CAs are nice but still, not what I focus on or spec for.

Plus, 12% absorbtion down wis line may save you some power due to heals. It's OP in 6v6's IMO if you roll with a 2nd healer. If your really having issues with melee line pvp I'd try alternatives till better geared, thats what I broke down and did. Love it.

Edit: I'm not arguing INT is best for DPS I know it's weaksauce just saying from a PvP standpoint with weak gear IMO your better off with another spec till 80 and geared. Personally I'm staying INT as a 2ndary anyway cause of the focus/subj etc for pvp.

Edit: In hindsight I am drunk so if that doesn't make sense just disregard tbh, I'm not reading it to find out.
