An answer to having to heal yourself consistently is dispersion gear... if you get enough of it basically every other hit can be blocked completely. leaves you a little time to dps and MAYBE keep agro on the longer fights

Only problem is, I dont know of any healer dispersion gear that's not raidgear... and from what I read he's not a raider.

...and Dispersion procs have (supposedly, haven't parsed it) been fixed to not stack with each other, so only one piece will work.

They were fixed so that a stoneskinned hit couldn't proc dispersion again. Wearing more than 1 still increases your chance to stoneskin an attack.
