Dagar welcome to the world of the warden. Ignore our bitching about what we lack in end game raid utility. Fact is the warden is one of the most fun and rewarding classes to play.
Much information can be found here on these forums as you have found.
But here are some basics....
Focus on wisdom as your primary stat as it directly influences your power pool and improves your natural resists to damage.
As for a secondary stat to focus on stamina is essential as that is the amount of hit points you have.
From there you have some choices on what is important depending on play style. Intelligence will improve the damage of your spells and strength will improve the damage of your combat arts. Agility will help you avoid being hit.
As for tradeskills:
Sage is good because if you harvest your own rares you will be able to make your own spell upgrades for very low cost. Highly recommended for this reason only. As the spell upgrades make a huge difference to you. But as a money making thing to sell to other players sages are very hit or miss.... nobody really uses the apprentice spells that are crafted so they don't sell well, but you may be able to sell adept 3's to other healers and mages.
Alchemists are a good choice to make some coin as they make most all the potions and poisons that are used in game. Aside from some potions though it isn't a class that will benefit your character all that much.
Provisioner is good for making money as well cause well we all need food/drink.
Tailor would be a decent choice since you could make your own armor and bags.
I could go on but head on over to the tradeskill section or to eq2traders.com for good information.
Welcome and enjoy your warden.... they rock
