For group spells it's divided by three again. Phay's (Malignx) explanation on the first page is the only accurate one I've read.
Actually, we're both wrong. To be precise, the +heal amount cap is 0.5*(base amount), which makes the heal amount cap 1.5*(base amount) (because it includes the 100% you have from the start).

Aside from that typo, MalignX says the same thing as I do. I'll use MalignX's screenshots to demonstrate that the base amount includes all ticks of a HoT:

From EQ2I, we learn that Sylvan Bloom (Adept III) heals for 515 - 630 on the first tick, and 86 - 105 on the following ticks (at 0 +heal amount).

Low end of Sylvan Bloom
Heals for 515+(86*6) = 1031 = base amount. The heal amount cap is 1.5 times that, i.e 1.5*1031 = 1546.5 = 1547 rounded up.

And from MalignX's screnshots we see that the low end of Sylvan Bloom caps out at 1031+(86*6)=1547.

High end of Sylvan Bloom
Heals for 630+(105*6) = 1260 = base amount. And the heal amount cap is 1.5 times that, i.e 1.5*1260 = 1890.

And from MalignX's screnshots we see that the high end of Sylvan Bloom caps out at 1260+(105*6)=1890.

Yes, my bad, I mean +healing cap. Generally, on my server at least, when people refer to the healing cap, they are referring to the cap on +healing rather than the individual caps of their spells. Lazy typing on my part, although I am correct :D
