We're going make alterations to the druid class to bring them more in to line with other healers, in 8 months time. Until then we hope you enjoy being crap. Please stop by the gift shop on your way out, where you can purchase some of our lovely power point slides.

Yes, this is for the next expansion. Hooray for us.

Re: Fan Faire: HoTs getting buffed
I think there are two issues here.
1) Druids are a distant third behind clerics and shamans for healing power.
2) Warden raid desirability is low, due to point 1 and a lack of buffs/debuffs.
The proposed changes MAY go a long way to addressing point 1, and for that they should be given a fair chance. Whining that 'it won't fix us' will get us nowhere. Let's see what develops, encourage and feedback as appropriate.
The changes do nothing for point 2, which really is the bigger picture. Better healing output won't make a huge difference. We need to point out the huge disparity between clerics/shamen and druids - especially in offensive and HP buffs, where we are SEVERELY lacking.
As for complaining that it's going to take until the next expansion.. Well suck it up. Unless you can code and develop MMO's (in which case offer your services to SOE) leave them to it. Feedback by all means but whining is getting boring; I know this is eq2flames but let's be constructive and get the changes we want to see, the changes we think are fair. 'OMG Wardens are sooo nerfed' achieves nothing. All classes think they're hard done by...

I think the lot of us have sucked it up, and made suggestions for this class since they screwed us over WAY back in LU13. They didn't listen, and they haven't listened for several years now. And yep, the whining gets just as boring as us saying the same things to them that is quite obvious for the past 3 or so years.
I kind of would like to know how many pre LU13 wardens are even left. Cause most of them gave up a long time ago because they wouldn't listen.

I'm a pre LU13 Warden! yes, I know.../bashes head against brick wall.
Either hope springs eternal or I am the virtual embodiment of that definition of Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Not sure.

Left to their own devices SoE would probably not be considering any changes, Its only the constant 'whining' (read: critical feedback) that draws their attention to these issues. And looking at how much time its taken to get to this stage I think people are entitled to complain.
So I politely decline to 'suck it up'. Objective and constructive criticism is the domain of the official forums, I come to EQ2Flames in order that I might bitch about things at my leisure.

pre LU13 here, been to other classes, seen other hardships and we don't have it the worst, I wouldn't say we ever have.
I may not be as in touch with the current issues of the raiding druid as I used to be due to an extended period of burnout followed by quitting raiding, but the issues are obvious and the means to fix them are just as obvious. The developers have acknowledged these means to fix our issues with a good deal of thought to preserve game balance.
The things they announced (and some unannounced things) make it seem like we'll be getting back on the right track to raid desirability once more. Only time will tell, and I've got 8 months to stick it out before SF, so I'm not going anywhere any time soon. The overall changes to the game [provided their changes to solving capped stats works ] seem to be headed in a good direction in my opinion.
There are a good amount of signs that lead to the possibility of better itemization, a more balanced raid force, less cure-play, more in depth and interactive open dungeons and a series of other things that are looking fairly positive as a lot of you have probably seen from fan faire and such.
There are only two major things to be down about :
A) Them pulling it off properly.
B) The 8 month wait.
To the people who stuck with their wardens and haven't had a permanent main switch like Relica and others, my hat is off to you.
Except WCLarry he's terrible at guild wars. Being good at a Warden doesn't excuse that.

tbh, i would prefer it to be something useful (even WITH the stun part) than it being another "meh" heal. Running around doesnt make it more appealing as we already have more heals than we can cast. i would prefer something else for tough situations (which it actually was in the beginning- if things went bad, you threw hierophant which healed way better than anything else - but stunned you for duration, for "dont care on anything else, just keep the tank up" situations). was really useful back then.
Imho we basically miss 3 major things atm
1) buffs / debuffs druids have are plain crap
2) cures from wardens are not really useful i TSO and have no special "add-ons" at all. i.e. Inquis can cure all by myth clicky additionally to grpcure. Druids have only 2 debuffs they can cure (where wardens Trauma is useful in maybe 1 TSO encounter?) Also other classes specials/AA make additional effects being removed or other useful stuff. as Cures are at least as important as healing in TSO being a useless curer is maybe even worse than being a subpar healer.
3) we have no real "oh-shit" spell like deathward, repent or stuff like that. hierophant could be changed into something like a 100% heal instant, but stuns for 1-2 seconds or whatever creative could be imagined (bit like turtleshell) or a curse-prevent (like turtle, while stunned) or just anything useful for the tough situations (death prevent is not really special as any healer has it a way or another) but imho we miss a "huge" heal.
