Actually, furies do get a spell line for root. The last one is attainable at level 64 and is called Elddar's Grasp.
Master 1 - Elddar's Grasp
*Resistability 21% Harder
*5% chance to dispel when target takes damage
*Does not effect Epic targets
*Resistability increases against targets higher than 84

Re: 70 Fury might betray to warden
Seriously if you're looking at a betraying when you've got over half your spells mastered (including a few rare ones I'll wager) then just walk away from the betrayal quest and start up another toon. If you guild were willing to put some cash in for AD3 they sure won't mind group with ya and powerleveling you up a bit :P

Re: 70 Fury might betray to warden
I'am playing a fully melee specced warden (Full Str-line without last Skill and full CA in warden tree) and though I don't box, I think its an excellent way to box, cause of natural boon and spores beeing an automatic heal, which is really impressive (get a Dirge and CoB and it
goes off!!!
And if you do it right you still can get to your 1k DPS easily.
When I duo with a tank I normally just do DPS and an occasional single Regen-Heal, thats all.

Re: 70 Fury might betray to warden
I just recently went to melee spec, and tbh I'm loving it. My warden's str self buffed is pitiful atm (133 I think) but I grouped with a zerker with master 1 group STR buff, obviously had group berserk, and an illusionist who gave me power regen and rapidity... I swear I was doing insane dps.
I've been using the blackscale maul, is there a better 2h/1h I could get (not from EOF raids, my guild doesn't hit them much)? I have Adamantine Doomhammer, Torklar's battlehammer and Draconic Accord Blade. I'm finding the base autoattack damage from BSM awesome though.
As this is my alt, she's got some KOS fabled, mixed with EOF legendary.

If i put spores, spikecoat etc on myself, I can solo heroic named that would have previously kicked my arse. I went full STR line to endline, and full STA to endline, crits in warden tree.

Re: 70 Fury might betray to warden
I just betrayed my 57 Fury to a 57 Warden this weekend. I've had this character since December 05 (he's my first character), but lost interest in him and his play style. I originally saw him as a sword swinging beast who kills all those that affronts Nature. Well the reality is that the nukes were nice, but just not what I was looking for. My wife rolled a Warden and was telling me how fun it was being a melee healer. I've only been fighting trash in TT to learn how my heals and combat arts work, but at the moment the melee speced Warden seems to fulfill my vision of what I was looking for in a Druid.

Re: 70 Fury might betray to warden
I rolled my Warden to box with my Zerker. I rolled a warden over a fury because their buffs are better for fighters. I liked my Warden so much, i switched mains and raid on the Warden. As far as dps, if i'm not healing much i can hit 800+ and have parsed over 1k on trash in EH.
Wardens are also great for solo play, I can solo higher level mobs than i can solo on my bruiser. I have never played a fury, but would never give up my Warden.

Re: 70 Fury might betray to warden
My wife's main is a 70 templar, started before EOF. Essentially she never really soloed with her character, but on the Warden...she's absolutely amazed at the fact that a healer can solo. I am enjoying my character now that he's a warden, much more so then when he was a fury.
