    Default Multi-Attack Items

So, I wanted to start compiling a list of items that we can use for increasing our Multi Attack. I don't have access to much in the way of Drunder or Elements of War Challenge Mode zones, so I've tried to get kind of creative with Legendary and Mastercrafted gear.

With the exception of some of the items healers can use from the Colossal Reactants, most of the Multi Attack I've been able to gain comes from Reforging. Adornments can also provide a lot as well. A small tip too, if you have some white Multi Attack adornments, but are sitting around 100% Casting Speed, you can reforge some Casting Speed into Multi Attack, and then replace the Multi Attack adornments with Casting Speed ones. Because Casting Speed converts into Multi Attack at a beneficial ratio, you can end up with a net gain in both stats.

For most of these items though, you'll want to reforge a stat that you're not getting much out of, like:
    • Spell Weapon AE Auto Attack
    • Spell Weapon DPS
    • Spell Weapon Attack Speed
Spell Weapon AE Auto Attack converts *very* nicely into Multi Attack, (Roughly 5:1) so if you can get your hands on an item with a bunch of that stat on it, you can make it into a nice boost.

I know that a lot of folks are concerned with breaking Set Bonuses and things like that, but if you can supplement Ability Mod with adornments or other items it might be okay to break at least one Easy Mode set in order to at least experiment with some other items.

    Anyway, list to come!

Amazingly useful post, thank you Sinaya =)

Another item I've also been switching between is the EoW bracers. Not a jewelry piece, but as soon as critical mitigation is removed, these will be a no brainer Haven't checked the EoW leggings now that I think about it..

Here's both the Legendary and Fabled versions of the Elements of War pants:

    (EM)
    \aITEM -193463250 -2019329964:Eternal Haruspex's Pants\/a

    (HM)
    \aITEM -345437197 1418448675:Eternal Haruspex's Tempered Pants\/a

The Challenge Mode ones have a whopping 20% Crit Bonus on them. It hurts a bit to lose the red slot, but as you said, once whatever is going on with the Critical Mitigation change happens, they're gonna be even more amazing!

PS - The really nice thing about the EoW bracers that Ayaka posted is the proc. I personally think that Ability Recovery speed is highly underrated, and the casting and run speed boost, even if only temporary, can really help out when dealing with a debuff that slows your movement or casting speed.

Yes, those EoW HM pants are currently better than the HM Drunder pants from HM Grindstone after the CM change..

I 100% agree with you. I strangle bards in pick up groups that don't have their allegro recovery. Makes a substantial difference, lol (not just DPS-wise, either).

So, I've been messing with my Crit Bonus vs Multi Attack lately, using this rough formula that Lupuos from Splitpaw posted on the Paladin forum:

Quote Originally Posted by Lupuos View Post

[ma effect] = ([ma increase] /(100 + [current ma]))
    [cb effect] = ([cb increase]/(([base crit factor] * 100) + [current cb]))

if [ma effect] * { the % auto attack of your total dps } > [cb effect]
then go for the ma effect
otherwise go for the cb effect

If you have 2.5 (1) flurry count as 7.5 (3) ma you can see the difference on that too.
Initially I was just trying to figure out if I wanted Flurry or Crit Bonus adornments in the red and yellow slots on my shoulders, (I decided on Crit Bonus) but after doing the math a few times I started swapping out the white Multi Attack on my Ranged Slot, and Leg items too.

Tried swapping out the Red / Yellow Multi Attack adornments on my Shoulders, but have kept Reuse on my Forearms for now since I'm running a bit low there. I hadn't realized at first that you can't put a normal (3%) Crit Bonus adornment in the red slot on a Chestpiece slot, since I always use the Class-Specific Focus version from either the Sig Quest reward in Thurgadin or Ry'Gorr faction. (Class Focus, + 2% Crit Bonus)

    jaggedtranqzam.png vs critbonus.png

(Of course, you can use one for chest and one for legs, which is even better!)

I also swapped out Cyclical Battering (30% Multi-Attack Proc) for Greater Magnitude I (12% Crit Bonus Proc) as I'm already sitting over 500 Multi Attack self-buffed, and the above equation suggests that the Crit Bonus would provide an overall increase opposed to the Multi-Attack.

So far vs dummies, in heroic groups, and in raids, I've seen a pretty consistent increase since making the changes. I'm still really excited for when these Crit Mit Changes come though so that I can really start experimenting with reforging and re-adorning gear.

problem is anyone who suffers from lag instantly negates any and all bonuses from recovery speed. This is why it was close to useless be4 the server upgrades save for those like sorcerers who could get close to cap.
