Default Re: Defend your corner

at the current time wardens are kinda misplaced. the are exceptioal at breaking content, but then after that content is broken (mts get geared up and nerf after nerf) they really arent as necessary. They suck by no means as for them having the potential to heal more than any other class in game and also being incredibly power efficient. Another thing that i saw that really hurt the warden was the hate changes. This is for 2 reasons

1. Mobs dont hit that hard anymore. with the numerous AE nerfs and just general orgy of gear thats available MTs and Ots really dont take that much damage. This makes wardens less desireable b/c often there heals are the last to be applied between the priest types.

2. With the hate changes we have had a unique opportunity to actually make a portion of the game harder. We have now seen which tanks/xfers generally arent very good players a many guilds will now have to accomidate this by dropping the warden (who doesnt heal b/c theres nothing to heal) and adding more hate which is now at a deficiency.

the transition from the begining of this expansion between the need for wardens and the lack of need occured much faster than normal due to the fact there was no lvl cap increase and compounded with just how damn easy the content was/is.

do not fret my druid counterpart your day to shine will come again come RoK trust me. People will drop a hate from the MT group in a second for an AE avoid and uberness of raw healing power.

Im usually put into the OT grp and switched into the MT for longer named fights. If I focus on dps i usually range from 700-1000 depending on my group setup, and thats caster spec'd w/o infusion, the wording makes it sounds like an AoE spell but i found it to only work as an encounter AE so was turned off from it.

If your mt can hold agro without the coercer you could definitely throw a warden in there. Also you could pull out the fury w/sk, and either throw the warden in there or move the inq over to that group and put the warden with the zerk. The zerk would be stoked if he is given prim instinct and it would raise his dps for sure. Most folks raiding that content have there mages all pretty close to capped for int, so a fury does not offer all that much other than what they get from the mage buffs for procs( your troub would probably be pissed thou). I do not know what type of numbers your healers are getting but wardens are definitely close to the lower dpsers out there, just above defilers. I used to hit 1500 easy in the mt group throughout EH trash, but in my old guild I was still getting owned by a templar, fury, both inqu and the mystic.

Answers simple, boot the fury in group 2, a Warden is a much better fit. Warden buffs are much better for scout/fighters than fury buffs and our heals are better. Also dust storm improves the defense for the scouts/fighters who might be drawing agro combined with the spores and mele buff we offer makes us a better in that slot.

I used to go in mt goup but with raid wide defense buffs from fighter classes dust storm isin't important there any more. Other buffs from out of group max the tank without it. I am usually in the scout group and it seems to be a good fit with the group mit and hp buffs, duststorm, and the dps buff along with moving the other aspect concentration between group members as they need power.

It's kinda funny, it seemed no raid guilds were recruiting wardens a few weeks ago and now they are listed as being needed all over the place. Must be something to it.

Furys are better buffers towards fighters(that aren't tanking)/scouts/mages.

Our heals > Fury Heals? Lol.. thats funny!

It goes to the old addage "your cup is half full or half empty". If Wardens sit here and whine about their class who is going to want them. We have good things to offer raids, all you have to do is embrace them and sell them.

I don't know what level your spells are or what your situation is, but I never have problems out healing furys. Maybe it's not the class and it might just be you.

Anyway, if you really don't believe in your class, betrayal is easy enough, go for it.

I have problems not overhealing, actually.

I'd say Fury heals a mage better than we do, though.

I like our heals better when it comes to straight up healing a tank, I love my class.

You are completely blind and retarded though to not realize that a Fury has a better place in most groups than Wardens. Lol.

This is no recommended strat of any high end content guild, but worth thinking about it... switch the defiler and the mystic and replace the templar with a warden.

Just to give you an idea of how hard we are to fit in places, im so useless outside breaking trough content in an MT or OT group that I've switched to playing dirge.

Weakest Classes in EQ2: Monk, Warden.
