Your insane as a raid leader if your picking a monk over a bruieser. The RW hate control and better DPS then a monk, I'd pick bruiser. But hey, I haven't actually played this game in 3 months, so maybe that casting speed is the shit.

If you have more casters a monk is better, more mele a bruiser is better. The brawlers dps isin't much anyway on tougher mobs because they need to go into defensive stance to give more avoidence to the tank. It's really a toss up but for sure both classes have added value with the changes.

I think the MT group setup is changing back to the 3 healer scenario in some cases - because of the changes to the hate gain/transfer. Both are now capped at 50% I believe, and of course the coercer had their hate gain changed to a split hate gain/hate transfer. So having the 3 hate management classes in the MT group isnt necessarily giving you the hate on the MT it used to.

I could be wrong tho - I've not looked that deeply into comparing the hate generation potential of the dirge/swash/coercer combo since the changes, but I'm guessing its more variable now, due to a percentage of the coercer's being changed to hate transfer, which means they now have to pull out the numbers DPS-wise - and in our guild we are still mostly going with the traditional 3 healer MT group (typically Warden, Defiler, Templar).

We often have more than one warden show to a raid, so the 2nd one is normally in the OT group, unless the fury is skiving, in which case they get the cloth wearers to look after.

switch the bruiser(group2) with the necro (group3)
Switch the fury in (group 3) into a warden.

(can change a bruiser for a monk into group 3)
13% cast haste and 23% melee haste better then a TAUNT buff and combart art buff. The raids dps will be higher then the bruiser dps difference.

G1 - Guard/Defiler/Templar/Dirge/Coercer/Swashy
G2 - Illus/Wizzy/Troub/Fury/Assassin/Necro
G3 - Warlock/Troub/Bruiser/Warden/Conj/Shadowknight
G4 - Berserker/Mystic/Inquis/Dirge/Brigand/Ranger

I would also add in a second illus though

and more then 3 tanks are a waste so drop the crusader or brawler for a second illusionist.

With brawler (preferred setup)
G1 - Guard/Defiler/Templar/Dirge/Coercer/Swashy
G2 - Illus/Wizzy/Troub/Fury/Assassin/Necro
G3 - Warlock/Troub/Warden/Conj/Illusionist/Brigand
G4 - Berserker/Mystic/Inquis/Dirge/Monk/Ranger

With crusader
G1 - Guard/Defiler/Templar/Dirge/Coercer/Swashy
G2 - Illus/Wizzy/Troub/Fury/Assassin/Necro

Sorry to burst your bubble but for "optimal" setup a warden has no spot in a high end raid guild. Sure in rok we will be "Needed" for about 1 month ... hooray!!! a warden is never the best use of a spot unless there happens to be an encounter where being rooted is a huge problem which i doubt will ever happen. my advice is abandon ship now =)
