WAR isnt that bad...good for us folks who don't have the time to give too much time to MMO's. Hop on...do a few scenario's then log out. The pve aspect is garbage though...at least up to the beginning of t4, not sure after that. And yeah, I only posted here cause its a good way to read the RaR's and such...this is still a great site for that shit lol.

No joke. You take every keep and objective in T4 and then do the same PQ's/boring scenarios for a week and never take control of a zone. The itemization on PvP gear is terrible, thus making any effort to get past renown rank 12 pointless.

QFE, The game serves its purpose as being something to casually play. Esp due to the fact of

A. Im burnt out from running raid content in eq2

B. Work has been a bitch lately

So this is a nice time killer to play with a few friends, kill some 12 year old suburban shit factories and have a good day.. Although I really wish at times I could cap some of the jackass BW's on my team during scenarios.

In regards to other posts about WAR Endgame, I cannot speak on what I have not played yet (I am only level 25) but a buddy of mine has a 40 toon and it seems to me if you took a guild of badass eq2 players and gave them level 40's, and ventrilo.. you could fuck some shit up, quickly

As funny or fucked up as this sounds though.. I honestly cant find another game other then EQ2 that I can take the end game content seriously.. As much as the devs fuck shit up on a continual basis it still holds strong compared to other games that are out nowadays.

-WoW I guess you could say is almost like EQ2 nowadays but iirc almost ALL of the raid/endgame content is scripted encounters.

-Vanguard is O.K. they are actually doing some huge improvements by adding contesteds and more raid zones. So kudos to them if only people would actually play =/

-Conan is just a joke.

-DDO Is actually fun for casual raids.. it's like a hardcore watered down EQ2 raid , a few puzzles and the need to heal through nasty abilities.


So until a company finally grows a set of nuts and intentionally make the endgame/raid content worth while to get to instead of catering to the low level casual content. I still will enjoy EQ2 for raids and the endgame

Your renown rank analysis might be accurate if:

A. Annihilator and Conqueror were the only PvP sets in the game. Once you get to the city Invasion sets drop quite easily and are worthwhile.

B. Renown Trainers did not exist.

Also, if you controlled all of the Keeps and BO's in T4 and farmed PQ's/Scenarios for a week without taking a zone you were either doing something wrong or getting the shit kicked out of you in scenarios.

You also should try getting people to work on zone control in the lower tiers as it passes up a percentage of the control to the tiers above. Might kind of suck that you have to depend on lower level people but it's Mythics way of making everyone count. It's also one more thing that makes it better to be on an Open-RvR server.

Yes I got to 14 so I am fully qualified to insult.

But srsly, the graphics are terrible, game mechanics and design worse, and the PvP in the same scenario got boring fast, and I heard it gets even more repetitive in later levels.

yea capped praag last night capped CW almost, then went ahead and capped it today starting from 0 VP and took a run at the fort but the server crashed after the first door, it was easy 200 order vs as many destro. Wild time, most fun I've had in an MMO in a long time.
