once you get to lvl 40, you still have 80 renown ranks to get.

I'm only on rr40 atm, because i left for 2 months.

I went back and starting tagging along with my old guild Painforge (not in the guild anymore cause i was away for too long and though it would be fun going guildless, i.e no commitments)

Getting renown ranks is pretty painfull and slow. At rr45 i get a repair keep door skill.

Overall the game is ok, its not very deep but it's good for a few hours of RVR.

Theres not much 1 warband of Order can do against 3 warbands of Destro no matter how skilled you are, and there always seems to be more Destro around.

Having said that you can still find alot of fair fights.

In T4 the game seems alot smaller, you can easily zip around from zone to zone taking keeps and finding fights quickly, there is a lot of back and forth with keep takes and pushing zones right up to the forts happens daily.

It's not too bad, but ill still be waiting for a new MMO, probably Starwars, Earthrise, or Aion, hell i'll probably try Darkfall if it ever releases.

This

I resubbed over the weekend having let it run out after the free month at launch just to see what was going on. Game seems pretty much the same except now everyone in T2/3 seems to be a tank and there are warbands running unopposed around the open RvR stuff, zergs still seem to win it.

If you just want to waste an hour or two its ok for a laugh, it still doesn't really seem like a MMO tho, still no real sense of progression or that having better gear makes it easier to PvP (at least in the tiers I am playing)

I endured it to level 40 on one character and levelled a few others of both factions to T3. The problem is T4 zone locking is borked and until they fix it the game sucks for both sides. Adding 2 new classes isn't going to help enough imo; they better revamp VPs or they will lose even more than they already have. I can't even begin to count the number of people I know who got to T4 and /quit_permanently.

Leveling to 40 is fun, but LOLkeepflip, LOLgoldbags, and LOLboflips are god awful boring after the 5th time each day every day you log in. And the contribution system is so screwed up getting one of those bags is next to impossible unless you stand there and do nothing then your random chance seems to increase. The dungeons were a good mix and change and chance to get gear but the lockout timers are stupid long.

That said, I could see myself going back if things change. It's by far one of the most intense fastpaced games I've played. It's also very fun; but it wears on you.

Quit EQ2 for this game.

... meh.

Over on Phoenix Throne, its the opposite of what others have experience: IE, Destro is outnumbered over 2-1 in t1-2, and only slightly lower in t3 and 4.

ORVR is currently a flake fest of nothing but zerging out (why do we still use a Blizzard Starcraft term for any other video game with large masses now?) and running into melee to be stunned forever where you see this on your screen.

You are disarmed
You are disarmed
You are disabled
You are disabled
You are disabled
You are dead

Respawn?

>_>

Playing a Disciple of Khaine right now who was SUPPOSED to be a melee healer (front line fighting and healing myself or defensive target plus anyone near them with every attack I do).

INSTEAD due to being unable to survive the front lines in T4 as is, I stand in the back and just do boring healbotting ... in a game that was PROMISED not to have such a thing. LIES!!!

Still not going back to EQ2 though. At least there's enough people on here that I can DO end game stuff. EQ2 required you to forfeit any other life to your raid ... I don't need a second full time job, thanks.

I quit WAR because it was lacking in depth. From 40 it's just a huge ass grind to RR80 and another huge ass grind to get gear (and at the time you had to do those suck ass PvE instances when half the set wasn't even itemized for your class gj).

Check out this new concept, they call it casual raiding, heh.
